He could have helped stop the bleeding in Knoxville. A pud indeed. Even being a quitter, he could have shown a little respect to his coach. I do not envy Derek Dooley. Seems like once a week, the hill gets steeper and the load gets heavier. The last major program I saw get pummeled like this was SMU.
The Death penalty ended last year when they beat Nevada. Do not think UT will be hit like that, but Dooley has an uphill challenge. Do not want to be in his shoes. One good thing, if he fails, it was "expected" under the circumstances, but he he wins, than he is the MAN. No way but up from here.

Yup. Took SMU 20 years to recover, but the old SWC falling apart and SMU finding themselves in mid-major land didn't help either. UTK still has ncaa sanctions coming. You're right, it won't be ANYTHING near what happened in Dallas. Maybe a few schollies cut and a year or two of lost bowl eligibility. If Dooley wins with the mess he inherited, he is indeed the man. Realism says it'll be 4 years until he can climb back to the top 25.

What time you guys planning on getting out there?
Mike and I are going to be at tailgating, but probably not going to the game though. We've gotta get up earlyish the next day to leave for Camp Reggae.
