Probably, yes. He's a fantastic musician but doesn't have a very broad appeal. His music (kinda like Rufus Wainwright) is too intelligent to have a mass appeal.

Saw him in a ridiculously small venue last year, one of the best shows I've ever seen. He left pretty much the entire venue in tears during "Casmir Pulaski Day."
^Don't know if that's true. Illinois sold a good amount of copies (don't know the statistics). I mean, Paste named Illinois the best album of the decade (not the Paste is the most credible magazine, but still noteworthy). It's just that it's getting to the point where he hasn't released an album in 5 years, so the public is starting to forget about him a bit.
Speak of the devil, he just announced his first North American tour in a long time. He's coming to Asheville in November, I'll be going to that.

since he is touring again i guess it makes the odds a little better he could play bonnaroo. atleast he will be in philly in november and i will be there
I'm not going to shut up about this for a long time. I had a dream last night that they played a late tent set and while them playing wasn't actually part of the dream, I can only imagine them ripping that farms face off.
I agree a lot with some that I've already seen: dredg Tub Ring Lotus (return set 'cause they killed it this year) Miike Snow (same as above) Two Door Cinema Club
I don't know where they'd fit in, but one of my dreams is most likely coming true in 2011 : Edward Kaspel just said a Tear Garden tour is in the conceptual stages for 2011.
"There is a lot of talk about a Tear garden tour, but probably in 2011.For sure it's something both Cevin and I are keen to realise for quite a long time now- however LPD and SP schedules have been so busy. This last part of this year will be all about the Dots' anniversary and the the long USA tour coming up. A lot of releases in the pipeline too.Check www.legendarypinkdots.org for current info , but already an update is needed for the newsletter recently posted there (for instance I neglected to mention that "Crushed Velvet Apocalypse" has been remastered and a special small edition of this CD will be issued in a crushed velvet pouch by Soleilmoon in the near future."
If I had my way, it would happen, but I don't know where they could play. Their styles would fit right in at Roo, though.

The Love Language. They're signed to Merge Records, and these guys are huge here in Raleigh. I feel like they could do pretty well in a throwaway early afternoon tent slot.

lol, well played, Zapp. Nobody else had their actual names as display names, so I figured I needed a change. Naturally, I just had to take a look through my iTunes library for inspiration.
names that never get mentioned that I think should get mentioned:
Cee-Lo Green We Are Scientists The Walkmen Interpol Rogue Wave TV on the Radio Samuel The Wombats How to Dress Well (dunno if they have a live show or not, but would be a pretty legit Thursday night set)

"Lower Tier Acts" (this is why they haven't been mentioned ITT)...but those would be good gets.
