Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This will get moved to the Festivals subforum of the Which Stage, but I'l post in here now anyway...
Both fests have Furthur headlining, and Umphrey's and Dark Star not playing late nights (not clear if DSO on Thursday is a "headliner" for Vibes). The only real electronic dance late night is bassnectar at Allgood. I give Vibes the edge in the funk category, with a Big Sam's Funky Nation and Deep Banana Blackout late nights plus Galactic, Sharon Jones and Lubriphonic over Allgood's George Clinton and New Mastersounds day sets. However, Vibes has no answer for Allgood's grass lineup of Yonder late night, Old Crow Medicine Show and Railroad Earth.
I'll go ahead and give Vibes a slight edge for Robert Randolph, Steve Kimock and Little Feat over Derek and Susan, Grace Potter, and Cornmeal. And while Vibes has the reggae covered with Jimmy Cliff and Nas / Marley, Allgood has two incredible live acts in a Garage a Trois late night and Femi Kuti and the Positive Force.
In the end it comes down to Widespread Panic vs. Primus. That's a matter of taste I suppose, but Primus has done a lot less touring in recent years, so you just have to go with the Vibes.
I have no idea what either of these festivals is like aside from the lineups, a lot of that should be taken into consideration as well, obviously.

I'll say both are a tons of fun, but if your car cannot handle idling in line for several hours while going straight up the side of a pretty steep mountain, then you want Vibes.
Also, since Vibes is literally smack dab in the middle of the city of Bridgeport, AllGood feels a lot farther from actual reality and civilization than Vibes where you can see city life happening on the other side of the fence around the park.
