So, Forecastle is a week away, is anybody else planning on going? I haven't bought the tickets yet, I plan on doing it tomorrow, but I was wondering if anybody else wanted to meet up and caravan down with me and my friend. This year was my first Bonnaroo and it was such an amazing experience that I want to go to another festival. How much alike is Forecastle to Roo? What should I expect? Are there any sort of searches conducted at the beginning? and how tight are they

I don't know anything about it...as I've never been, but I was thinking about doing a single day on saturday and getting a hotel.
It's my b-day and Cake/Devo/Bassnectar/Smashing Pumpkins sounds like a goog way to spend an evening to me....with some time during the day to just check out the festival.
So I'm no help on details....but I might go check it out.
Ill be there Friday and Saturday. I wouldnt suspect it to be much like Broo considering it is in a downtown public park in Loserville (sorry Im a UK fan). I don't know about searches but think there will be mucho policia.
I am going all three days. We'll be camping at Turners. I'll be with my four sons and a nephew ages 15, 15, 17, 19, and 21. We have not been to Forecastle before, have not found much about previous years on the web, and have no real idea about what to expect.
Anyone know how serious they are about the "no food" rule? I'm wondering if small snacks are ok (like Bonnaroo).
