Great live act but that's about it. Luckily I saw them open for Yeasayer (who were much better). They need another disc or a handful of covers to get anything other than a troo music lounge set at this point.

No I mean they play 25 minute sets even when they're scheduled for longer ones. They had a 40 something minute set at Coachella they could barely even half fill.
I'm guessing these two will be on the farm in '11 and, like aerobio said, will play at 10 or 11 on Thursday night. I'm sure they could find a way to stretch out their set or play covers to play for 45 minutes to an hour.
I'm going to see them in Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill on Tuesday. I'm excited.
Well, NoD, I promised I would report back, and you were pretty much correct.
26-minute regular show, 2-minute wait for encore, 2-song, 6-minute encore. 34 minutes total. They played their whole album except for a song or two and played no non-album songs. A pretty badass half-hour, but they need to figure out how to stretch it out if they're going to stick around.
Just got back from the Nashville show. It was exactly 34minutes from beginning to the end including the encore.
It WAS short, BUT it was an amazing set and was packed full of energy. Here's some vids/pics I took. Vids are REALLY crappy iphone quality btw, was standing right behind a speaker.

Yeah their pitchfork performance was pitiful. The sound was so low it was hard to hear them. Even when they turned it up it still was hard to hear them. I would give them another shot on a Thursday night.

Just saw them open for LCD soundsystem. Yes, it was a short set, but they were a perfect opening act. They really got the crowd pumping. I think they would make a great shortnsweet latenight tent opener, ala phoenix in 09. They had a great energy. The girl (whose name escapes me) makes a great frontperson (even though the project is really the brainchild of the guy [whose name also escapes me] who produces and writes all the music and lyrics) She's hot, fun, and has an awesome energy to her stage presence
They need to brush up their live act a bit though. Half of the music is being played on a tape track. The dude only plays guitar. And on songs without as much guitar, he has nothing to do I think they need to re-envision the live band, and probably add more live members. Add a live drummer. Or even a DJ. OR even a guy on a laptop on stage. Or at least the guy could do this in the less guitar heavy songs. Their beats are such a vital part of their music, and I just hate that they are just played on a tape track and unaccounted for in their live performance.
That said, it was a really fun show and they rocked the socks off of that place. Here are some pics

i saw them open for lcd soundsystem and im going to flat out say they sucked, they really didn't have much live stage presence there is only so much you can do with a guy on guitar and a girl singing an dancing ala MIA, it was weak and no way deserves a midnight show, however for you fans they might be worthy of a thursday night tent show but definitely earlier in the night.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Yeah I saw them open for Yeasayer and they were meh, certainly didn't leave any last impression (minus the damage the volume level did to my ears). Would be a waste of a LN imo
just saw them last night opening for LCD. 35 mins but they put on a great, high-energy show
i'd welcome them to the farm
Did u go see Trapper at the 40 watt thursday?
unfortunately not :[ at the very last minute, the group i was going with bailed, and then it was too late to find anyone else to go with. glad i got to see them at roo. did you go?

I saw them open for LCD soundsystem and loved them. They were the perfect opener, the crowd loved them to and it really got everyone going and ready to party.
