I'm sure most people here have never heard of this festival, but it takes place in Bristol, TN on September 17-19. I have never been because I lived in Knoxville for the past 8 years, but now it is only about 20 minutes from my house.
This year's lineup is surprisingly awesome, with several Bonnaroo vets, including: Drive-By Truckers, Dr. Dog, The Devil Makes Three, Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Felice Brothers, Todd Snider, The Black Lillies, and The Del McCoury Band. There is also a band on the lineup called The Drunk Uncles...I don't know who or what that is, but they are now my favorite band ever.
Full Weekend Passes are currently only $40. I assume that price will go up as the festival date gets closer, but I have no idea.
Yeah, I doubt that will be much of a camping scene...unless one WANTS to get deliveranced
It looks like more of a "stay in a hotel" event...which isn't that bad with the whole $40 ticket price. That being said, I probably wouldn't go if I didn't live so close...but that's just me.
