When will be know the weekend that Bonnaroo 2011 will take place on? My cousin has decided to get married in June of next year and I don't want to miss her wedding, but I'll give it up for the tenth anniversary.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Any way these dates can be confirmed? I believe June 9-12 would be the earliest the festival has ever been held. In 2006 it was actually the 3rd weekend in June, and in 2002 before Thursday was added it was the 21rst-23rd - essentially the 4th weekend that month. I need to request my vacation time now and I'm nervous about making the call on the exact dates without confirmation! I'm going to try emailing Bonnaroo but doubt they'll give up the dirt so early...
Someone here on the boards actually found the 2009 dates by scoping out the website of the people who do security.... can't remember the name of the company, but I will try my best to find the thread. The security company had certain dates for June 2009 blocked off, and we made the deduction.
Good call JHO. I emailed Bonnaroo with my sob story about needing to request the time off now (which is true, unfortunately) to see if I could squeeze out any info, and they sent back what is probably a standard reply:
"Hi Whitney,
Thanks for being such an avid Bonnaroo supporter and congrats on your pregnancy! Unfortunately, we cannot disclose the 2011 dates yet (as we don't even know them). Sorry about that and please continue to check in on www.bonnaroo.com.
Best, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival"
Guess we will have to keep our eyes open for other clues...

I'm sure it will be the second weekend in June. Wakarusa is always the 1st weekend and Bonnaroo is the next. They ironed the dates out after the 1st couple yrs.
I'd be willing to bet the ticket I won for next year that is will be the 9th to the 12th. This has been our fourth year and "Roo has always started 1-2 days after my kids get out of school.
He has been celebrating in style.
