They were supposed to headline this AWFUL free festival in Columbia in 03. They no showed and Default ended up headlining. Worst group of shows I've ever seen... Eve 6, Powerman 5000, Zugg Island, and Default. Only half decent set was Rooney. Only reason I went: excuse for a bunch of high school kids to skip school and do drukqs.
I used to like a couple of Phantom Planet songs, and I still listen to Rooney's debut, here and there. We used to cover "Blue Side" in high school, haha... cool song.

I once went to a show, the acts went in the following order: Bison BC Black Cobra Priestess High on Fire
Bison BC stole the show. High on Fire and Priestess were good, but Bison did better. Black Cobra I wasn't a huge fan of, they probably should have went first instead.

Ben Harper >>>> DMB in 1997 ...This was the first time i had ever heard Ben Harper and he sang Another Lonely Day and was absolutely balling on stage for the entire song. I was instantly hooked. Incubus >>>>> 311....i'm a huge 311 fan but Incubus was incredible Foo Fighters >>>> Red Hot Chilli Peppers ....Maybe the most surprising because Dave Grohl and company just tore the stage apart with their energy. I was stunned!
P.S. - A lot of people have mentioned The Roots and I'm here to tell ya that few put on a better live show night after night then those guys. You don't even have to be a fan of hip hop to realize that you are watching something special.
