I honestly couldn't be more pleased by the schedule. There's no BRUTAL conflicts for me personally because I'm not that interested in seeing Thievery Corp or The Disco Biscuits. The only ones for me that are even a little tough are Big Boi/Devo on Friday, Dam-Funk/Massive Attack on Saturday, and Neon Indian/Cee-Lo on Sunday, but all those aren't that difficult for me. I will probably go with Big Boi over Devo because I think it'll be more fun (although Devo might be cooler/more interesting), Massive Attack over Dam-Funk because it's fucking Massive Attack, and Cee-Lo over Neon Indian because I've seen Neon Indian (although I'll still catch a half-hour of his set if I can). Other than that, I had a pretty damn easy time mapping my three nights:
Friday: Nothing I'm too concerned with early on; hopefully Javelin grabs that blank 6:00 slot at the OP, so I'm going to do Big Boi>MGMT>RJD2>Dan Deacon>Girl Talk (I think Dan Deacon>Girl Talk is going to be an epic amount of fun...if I hadn't seen a wonderful Panda Bear set a week ago on a beautiful night in downtown Raleigh, I'd be pretty upset about this conflict, but alas, I did see a wonderful Panda Bear set a week ago on a beautiful night in downtown Raleigh)
Saturday: Nosaj Thing>Caribou (maybe a little Emeralds; seeing School of Seven Bells at Local 506 before Moog)>Jonsi>maybe a little Matmos>Massive Attack>Four Tet
Sunday: (don't know early) Sleigh Bells (how in the world are they going to play for an hour?!)/Omar Souleyman>Neon Indian/Cee-Lo Green>Hot Chip>last 1/4 of El-P>drive home to Raleigh!
So fucking PUMPED for this! May even top my first Bonnaroo...Doubt it, though. Maybe if LCD or FlyLo was on the lineup
But I think they'll both be good. I just think Big Boi's set fits the vibe of the festival slightly better. If this was a different kind of festival, I would definitely catch Devo over Big Boi. But this is a festival where we're going to be dancing our donkeys off into the night (hopefully).
Also, my former co-worker, summerteeth, is exactly right--they need to realize Sleigh Bells can't play for an hour and tack that onto Hot Chip's set. Or just have Neon Indian go on earlier

In that his set will be more upbeat...thought I stated that pretty clearly...Look, I like Devo just as much as the next guy, and I get what you're saying, but considering all the other artists in the lineup, I think Big Boi falls in line easier than Devo. They're both oddballs on the lineup, though.

There's plenty of reason to see them. I wasn't saying there isn't. Just stating that my preference is Big Boi's set, which will also add some variety to the experience of the festival.
Tentative Schedule Friday: Octopus Project > Devo > MGMT (OR Saturn Never Sleeps > Clare & The Reasons) > Van Dyke Parks > Dan Deacon > Panda Bear > Girl Talk (if possible) Saturday: Nosaj Thing > Caribou > Jonsi > Massive Attack > Four Tet Sunday: (Need to listen to Shout Out Out Out and Headtronics but it's probably between those two) > Sleigh Bells > Neon Indian > Hot Chip > Pretty Lights > Dark Party
What's the deal with the two venues not being used at this point? Also, during Four Tet and Bisco there is an interesting "TBA" at the Civic Center. (I haven't read through any posts today so I don't know if this has been discussed.)

I was wondering about that prime slot, too, Zapp. But, there are several acts that still haven't gone on the schedule yet. I'm guessing it's reserved for one of those acts; maybe Jon Hopkins. I think they're basically done with lineup additions. Not sure if I want to see RJD2 or Van Dyke Parks on Friday...anybody have any idea what Parks' live show is like?
