I'd say it's a decent bet that Jonsi will be on the farm next year based on the hype from Moog.
I caught Caribou, it was great. Like airline said, the dual drummer attack sounds great. Those guys are good every time I see them. Left a little bit early for Jonsi, but still an awesome set.

Great weekend. Massive Attack was definitely my favorite set, Thievery Corporation was excellent, and I (to my own surprise) really enjoyed the new live electronic/lots of vocals sound Younger Brother has taken on.
My only disappointment of the weekend was missing both of Bonobo's sets. I got to the 'Moogaplex' 30 minutes early and was still never admitted to Bonobo, but oh well. That's what happens when a thousand people are trying to cram into a venue with a capacity of 400.

To the guy who asked about me taking malaria pills with old people: I do lab rat drug studies for my sole source of income. This basically involves checking into a medical facility for a period of days or weeks and taking single doses of generic drugs and placebos, then having your blood drawn and seeing if you have side effects. My last study was testing a malaria drug and I was in there for 28 days, broken up into three different periods with five days off in between. This study used young people like me and then 65-80 year olds, so it was fun to watch them knit and complain and get diarrhea all day. Essentially I made $7000 for sitting around and reading books in bed. It's pretty sweet.
I had a great Moogfest. The best set for me was Massive Attack who totally rocked everything. I thought Saturday wouldn't be that great but it ended up being my favorite day. Massive Attack and Jonsi were two bands I wasn't crazy for on record, but live they were fantastic. I could not believe how beautiful and stunning Jonsi was. If you have the chance to see him live with all of his visuals you must do it. Other highlights were Dan Deacon and Girl Talk (coming out as Freddy Kreuger was so cool) and all of Sunday. I spent that entire night up to Pretty Lights in Thomas Wolfe and loved it all, though it was disappointing that I lost my great pit spot and ended up in row 8 for Hot Chip. Disappointments definitely were that Cee-Lo and Devo canceled and they weren't replaced by anyone at their level. Fun Fun lost Devo and the first thing they did was send out an e-mail saying they were going to find a replacement and that you could e-mail them with concerns. For Moog that didn't really happen and though it was largely out of their hands, the ticketholders payed for those headliners and didn't get them. Also the secret show collaboration was kind of a bust, but I still had fun. The Caribou dual drummers was great, I had planned on leaving them early to get a good spot for Jonsi but felt compelled to stay til the end, and I still got in the pit for Jonsi. Despite sleeping in my car and going solo, it was a great weekend. I drove 24 hours straight to get there and ended up getting my wristband just in time to catch the first Deacon set. Asheville was a great place, I probably can't make Moog in 2011 but hope to catch it a few years down the line.
