Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Vermont would be nice, as it's far closer to me than Tennessee - and cooler ... it wouldn't be the same. I don't think a little state like Vermont could handle something like this either.
Dude, have you ever been to Burlington? That place is basically like a year-round 'Roo. More than half its population is either college kids or hippies (or both). Plus the closest fests to there (Bisco, Nateva, Vibes) are all 4+ hours away.
Nope, never got up that far. Never really done anything in Vermont... am I a real New Englander?

A couple of his points are valid. I agree that the tone in the original post was a little whiny..... and I also agree that Bonnaroo is not "his bitch" .....and they are there to make money.... but.... Most of you sound like Bonnaroo's biznatch. As if Bonnaroo is god and can do no wrong. I think Bonnaroo staff could butt rape some of you and you would still make excuses for them. "Well, you can get butt raped anywhere you go". While I'm a firm believer in "if you don't like it, don't go".... I am also a believer in progress and caring about the people who pay your bills. Sorry, I'm not a Republican. The only real progress they have made in 9 yrs. are ones that maximize profits not customer satisfaction. Is it really that hard to fix the the "bottleneck", really? It also seems pretty silly that some of you don't want them to fix it. I've been to 5 Roo's and have always had fun, and will probably go again for the 10th anniversary, but that will probably be my last. Unless they change a few things. I don't dislike Bonnaroo at all, it is what it is. I just wish they would improve certain aspects so that I could continue going. It's cool though.... there are other festies I have more fun at anyway.
While I would allow 'Roo to ass-fuck me fer a free ticket, I don't think of myself or most others here as a "biznatch." Yes there are some points brought up by the OP that may be valid. However in my four years I've encountered very few problems with portos, undercover bacon, entrance to Centeroo (unless it is a popular time to enter the festival grounds [say 6-8pm Fri/Sat]), ticket prices I don't believe went up this year (at least not by much). The "southern rock" and/or jam band scene isn't what will sell out 'Roo anymore. And I feel they are tryin' to attract a newer audience which isn't bad in a business sense, and I still enjoy most of the artists they bring. Allowin' cops to patrol the grounds is just good fer AC/Superfly in general. While NONOWORDS are able to be found, this is a real deal fest and the operators can't just let that go without some policing to try and say they do their part. NONOWORDS are not legal in this country as yet so they have to cover themselves from a legal standpoint; to expect otherwise is just stupid. The "walkway" between the What and Which stages could use some work, yes. Could they have a few more filtered water stations in Centeroo? I'd say yes, but I've had few issues in the past two years with the three that they have fer us. The idea of changin' dates dramatically (by a few months to escape the most likely heat) just won't work fer a lot of the patrons and fer the organizers I feel. Yes, there are risks to your health and well being, but if you're smart and have some smart friends with you, you should be okay. Are there things we'd like to see improved upon/fixed? Yes I'm sure. But as a four year veteran (with year number five on the way) I find less to "complain" about every year. Kids just need to be prepared fer the experience of Bonnaroo. Maybe the website could post weather reports to help the more casual 'Roo attendees to help a bit, I dunno. If you go to "other festies I have more fun at anyway" then by all means, rock out with your cock out at those fests. We'll be keepin' Bonnaroo a groovy place to be with or without you. No disrespect, just had a few beers and voicin' my opinion.
(think I got all I wanted to say in this post...I hope)

I'm not really calling everyone on here a bitch.... just responding to different posts that I scanned in this thread and most threads where someone dares to complain about the almighty Bonnaroo. Just didnt feel like quoting all of them. I guess to be clear: The only points of his I agree with are #5, "Why don't you fix little problems" #7, "So few water stations". which doesnt actually matter to me as I never use them, but it's extremely hot and there are a lot of young, unprepared, fucked up kids that dont know what they are getting themselves into. And with 4000 people treated for heat-related illnesses, you cant take any chances in that area. And #8, "why do you seem to care more a/b money than the people". I have never encountered any sort of problem w/ the bacon, I know the portos will always be gross... I just wish they would put more in Centeroo so I dont have to wait in line and miss shows. The only time I had to wait more than an hr. to get in the gates was the 1st year when I waited 12hrs. to get in. The traffic is obviously a lot better than it was then but I still here of people waiting for hrs. but that is to be expected. I think the ticket prices are very fair for what you get. I don't care that there were'nt more "southern" bands. I know they will never return to the JAm band scene and I enjoy many of the new artists. I understand that they want to bring new people into Bonnaroo but that also gives them an excuse not change things for the better as a new person will be in awe regardless.I dont think drugs are what the police need to be worried about. Theft from tents, pickpockets, and violence are what they need to be concerned with. Not that I wouldn't enjoy a cooler Roo. I know they will never change the dates... that's just silly. Thank you.... I will continue to rock out at other festivals. And probably Bonnaroo at least one more time. You really mean Bonnaroo will go on without me? I do hope Bonnaroo stays groovy but its going to take more than the fans. Im far from a Roo hater but I don't see a problem with voicing constructive criticism about something you enjoy but would like to see improve. Especially when you are paying them lots of money. To see my complete list of constructive criticism go to the "THings Bonnaroo Needs To Improve" and tell me if I'm really asking all that much. And if/when I decide to not return to Roo.... I'm not going to be bashing it on here, to be a buzzkill, or anywhere else for that matter.... I think that's lame and pointless. I'll just keep my fond memories and spend my money elsewhere.

less then 1% of the people who have attended Bonnaroo have died. Not always from the heat either.
You really think they'd move Bonnaroo to another time? They've spent years building up the second week in June as their festival time. They aren't going to change every single thing because someone (unfortunately) died.
They can fix little things like adding more shade areas and more water fountains/mist tents/fill-up stations.
