Hey guys! I came across this towel idk if everyone's hip to it but I wasn't. I think this would be fabulous for Bonnaroo 2011.
They are priced between $12 and $22 on Amazon

Chilly Pad !!!
Made from a hyper-evaporative material that retains water while remaining dry to the touch, The Chilly Pad® is an innovative way to cool down while enduring outdoor heat and/or high levels of physical activity. When wet, the towel begins to evaporate and cool, providing cool, soft comfort to the user. When it stops cooling, simply re-wet the towel in hot or cold water and wring it out. Within minutes, it’s cool again.
I almost bought one of those last year, but I read from multiple users that the cooling effect only lasted 2 hours or so. I did buy and bring a "cool tie", its like a bandana that is filled with these "crystals", the crystals absorb water, and then slowly release the water throught out 6 or so hours. It worked alright, didn't make a huge difference, but if you get one, only submerge it for 5 to 10 minutes. Mine exploded and made a fucking awful mess in my cooler.
I do like the idea of this product and may invest in a couple to user during sleeping, im not sure yet.
We have cool ties and actually a couple of ugly cool hats. They work okay, turning the tie helps alot. The hats are fine but I don't know if it works any better than any wet hat on your head would.
probably not, I probably spent 10 bucks last year on bottled water in centeroo for the sole purpose of drenching my hat. That felt good and really helped.

i have something like that. its a snap towel, i picked it up at gathering of the vibes in 09. you soak, wring it, and snap it and its stays reasonably cold for a good hour or so. you bet i had mine at the farm this year. helped me stay for the entire dropkicks set.

I've resigned myself to the fact that even though I am going VIP next year, I will still be sleeping in a hot tent, so I've put it on my Xmas list They have great reviews on Amazon.
My only hesitation is that this past year the humidity was so freaking' high at night that it's hard to believe much evaporation will take place. But hell, I'll dip a towel in the cooler every 2 hours if it's legit.
My sister and I bought these for last year and they were amazing for the brutal morning/afternoon heat. We would put them in my 5 day coleman cooler at night and it felt amazing wrapping it around our necks the next day!! We bought ours at Academy Sports. Def lasted longer than a bandana, great way to cool your body off in the intense heat.
