I have been going to Summer for 30 years now, and it just occurred to me that I don't like it. Summer is HOT!
I have made many posts on other messageboards about this, but this is my first time making a poll about it. Please sign this petition by casting your vote and the President of the World will have no choice but to listen. If we can come together and change Summer to Pie, then it means no more unnecessary sweating among many other things, plus pie is TASTY. Please take a moment to engage in this higgly intellectual discussion on the matter, but only if you don't disagree. Anyone who disagrees has been OBVIOUSLY brainwashed by Summer and maybe even Spring and Fall.
Summer,
1. Why are you so hot?? Don't you know I don't like that?!? 2. What do you have to say about your obvious ties to the Sun, and why don't you sever those ties in exchange for giving us Pie for a season? 3. Where were you on the night of the 25th and what do you have to say about the bloody gloves matching your DNA?? 4. Why isn't there more lemon meringue in Summer, what do you have against meringue? 5. If I were a lollipop and you were hungry for candy, what flavor would I be? 6. Do you even know how hard it is for a nice homemade meringue pie to maintain its form in very hot weather? 7. My grandmother never made lemon meringue in Summer, she only made it at Thanksgiving. Once, I got a huge piece and started eating it and realized it wasn't my grandmother's lemon meringue pie but actually a sugar-free alternative pie that my mother had made and so I spit it out because I am not too partial to sugar-free alternatives. I got in trouble for it, too, because my family is real big on not wasting food, but I wasn't about to eat that crap. 8. Why do you make me so smelly after walking in the park? Wouldn't it be better if I was covered in pie instead of summer on such afternoon leisurely activities?
Thank you, we will approach the sun and the earth after enough people sign this and demand politely that they change Summer to Pie.
Many members of this board have been disenfranchised and I won't stand for it. Anyone with a brain knows that cheesecake is a total douche. Keep your smelly cheesecake out of my red velvet cake!

Friend, don't you know that during red velvet cheesecake, one may eat red velvet cake, or one may eat cheesecake, if the unity of the two dost not please? Red velvet cheesecake is a season for all to come together, when the weather is anywhere from graham cracker crumb to velvety red sponge, the trees are joyous in the mountains with the bristling flow of cream cheese, and the texture of the rolling hills is of the silkiest of pleasures. Hark upon thy a-hungry ears as the chefs of the heavens a-sing glorious tunes - "Pie's done!" "Cake's done!" "Pie-cake's done!" - and let yourself gently find peace, morsel after morsel, in the gift of the truest season that mortal after mortal has been granted. While we're after it, winter is too friggin' cold for my taste. Let's move summer to winter, winter to summer. And I'm sick of the direction my toilet flushes in, too...
Hell, everyone knows summer sold out a long time ago to the man. What we really should be asking is what would MLK eat? I am thinking Lemon Meringue pie.

You know who else liked cake and pie? That's right, Hitler. Is that really what you want 3 months of the year? Corn is the only choice that doesn't make baby Jesus cry.
I'm not a big pie, cake or cheesecake fan. How about a Taco season?
Tacos have everything. Meat? Check. (Or, for you veggie people out there, No Meat? Check.) Cheese? Check. Spicy stuff? (Salsa/Sauce/Jalepenos) Check. Cool stuff? (Sour Cream/Guacamole) Check. Vegetables? Check. Crunchy? Check. (Or if you prefer, Not Crunchy? Check.)

Well, I'm definitely on board for Red Velvet Cheesecake, but I would be in support of season Taco as well. Like gratefuled said, winter really is too cold. Maybe we could have Spring, Red Velvet Cheesecake, Fall, and Taco?
