Random, but.....at the DMB show I actually got to get up front left in the pit and there was a 'big guy' in front of where i was and occasionally he'd ask if I was having a good time...or if it i was enjoying the show, etc. etc.....and all I could respond was "Absolutely!" with this huge smile on my face. I should've been able to say more and wanted to but the musical experience was just sooooo perfect......anyone else out there with great memories of dave so tell!
My favorite part was going with a big contingent from camp inforoo more or less as a tribute to Matt we had just heard he died and we all knew how much he liked DMB. I am not a fan but I am glad I went.

I wasn't planning on going but I was enjoying the company so much I figured I'd give a listen.
My favorite part was when I still thought they might play "Pig".
They played Pig at the Charlotte show the 21st Had to go since it was to be the last show for at least 2 years....a fairly unique set list, but I must say the roo show was better!!

Dave is def one of my fav bands but I had to move way back in the crowd and listen to most the show from the ground after the 4th song. I thought he played a great set, from what I heard, and I learned from this experience to TAKE IT EASY on sunday at bonnaroo.
I didnt find DMB too memorable at bonnaroo. I honestly think KoL was better, and Stevie Wonder (aside from waiting for him to get on stage) was the highlight of the weekend. However, I did see DMB at Vanderbilt Stadium in 2009, and that is one of the best concerts I have ever been too.
Went shopping on Shakedown with the wife during DMB -- many happy glittery people wandering by, all caught up in the four-day afterglow, trading smiles and well-wishing one another.

This is why I actually loved the schedule/lineup this year... it gave people some down time to really explore the place and not just hop from show to show to show. It was bittersweet, obviously, as I would have rather KoL/DMB be replaced with some bands I like more, but at the same time, its not like theres a lack of things to do at roo to kill time.

I was sitting close to one of the beer stands alone. Before the show started a girl around my age popped a squat right next to me and stayed for the whole show. She'd stand when I stood, sit when I'd sit and occasionally enjoy a blowpop while I smoked cigarettes. We didn't say one word to each other and went our separate ways at the end of the show but I enjoyed her company and left feeling like I knew her.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
