LOOKING FOR MAFIA 32 PLAYERS

^ Yeah, that might be something we can add to the 36-hour rule since we should be tweaking that rule a little after the game anyway.

I'm ok with closing voting tonight, mostly because it's Wednesday, and if this game somehow doesn't end when bacon dies, we still might be able to get in the last round before the weekend if voting closes today instead of tomorrow.

^That was a joke, hence the laughing and wink wink smileys....where did the wink winks go? there is no way in hell I would change my vote from Bacon to MikeD!! I want some Bacon friend up in the skillet ASAP...and have been for the majority of this game.

The reason you would be my next choice is because of what I said earlier......based on the assumption that Kdogg was Mafia I thought you or Bacon were guilty....you would be my more obvious choice so I chose Bacon....if Bacon was NOT Mafia then you would be my next choice. Get it? I know I am acting schizophrenic but I'm innocent and just going by my gut.....which tells me Bacon is the third Mafia, not you. If he died and the game continued I'd would be forced to re-evauate and you would be one of the people I would go to next....but I seriously doubt that will happen. Wow, I feel like a broken record on his one. I'm am pretty much certain that Bacon's death will end the game so it may not matter. I have no problem with MikeD (or Bacon the "real" inspector...jokejokejokejokejoke) asking about me tonight.

ok since i didn't hear confirmation from at least half of the players and in the slim chance that indi might magically show up before tomorrow, i am leaving voting open until noonish.

There's a +4 vote lead and the only non-voter has deleted their account. Is the outcome really going to change at this point?

Remember back in Day One, when I had to post from work (thank god my boss left her laptop behind that day) because you said you wouldn't count my vote after 36 hours? Treat it like that.

There is a decisive vote. Indi has not voted and receives one strike, which is not enough to kill him. Indi hasn't yet met the requisite conditions for ejection from the game. Only the voted-off player (in this case, Bacon) dies here.

We can't have the game making the switch from starting rounds with odd-to-even numbers, especially not this late in when endless deadlock becomes more likely. The game proceeds without the potential for derailment this way.

Rules are rules.. but under these circumstances, which I would consider "EXTENUATING" I believe kicking his ass out of the game to be fair. Keeping him alive, no matter the outcome, is just delaying the inevitable. He's going to die regardless, so might as well cast him off now, right?

Since he's missed two votes now, the rule actually says he gets booted when voting closes.

sorry guys, i was at work for a half day planning session and then i took a nap for like 4hr since i'm not used to waking up at 7am anymore. haha.

So this means if MikeD is really the inspector there is still a Mafia member alive and Bek was innocent......or was there a minute possibility that Bacon was telling the truth? Doubtful. I thought for sure it would be Kdogg, Bek, & Bacon!

Mike D- if you're the real inspector, how come the mafia didn't kill you last night?

I think there are two possibilities here: either Jen or Mike D is the last mafia member. Mike D says he asked about Jen last night, and that she is mafia. But like you said, Kel, if Mike D is the inspector then why is he still alive?

Let's say Mike D is telling the truth, and Jen is the last mafia. If Jen kills off MIke D in the night, that leaves

Neither you, me, or hippie have accused each other of anything for the entire game. But all three of us have accused Jen. So if mafia kills Mike D, it looks likely that we're all going to vote for Jen, which means the game ends and mafia loses. But if mafia leaves MIke D alive, then the rest of us will think he really isn't the inspector and so we vote him off instead, buying Jen one more round.

On the other hand, what if Mike D is really the last mafia? Then we definitely know why he's still alive. But this situation makes a lot less sense to me. Coming out as a fake inspector is a desperation move, but Mike D wasn't on the chopping block or even on anybody's radar when he came out as inspector. People were talking about putting Bacon and Jen into a runoff, so it seems like Mike D would just lay low if he was mafia. Would the mafia throw its last player into the fire like that when nobody is really thinking about him?

I'm leaning toward the first scenario -- that Mike D is the inspector and is being set up. What do you think, Kel? I'd also like to hear what Jen has to say about all this.
