also side note - yesterday i met this chick in a park that had a pet duck, like a legit duck was following her around. she had a leash for it but it didn't need it. this thing was badass and black with like purpley and green tips of its wings.
I wasn't initially going to participate in this simply because there is so much else going on, but yesterday in Troutdale, Oregon I found bride and groom ducks...I now I have something to add to the fountain

A sharpie would do to inscribe them, they are permanent. You could also open up the hole in the bottom of them and put in a small glow stick, maybe a glow bracelet if you want them to light up! I think I'm going to put a mini map on the bottom of mine that will lead to a "treasure"!
Added 10 more ducks....up to sixteen. Now, if I can find some lighted ones.....

my ducks are nurses, rock starts, hippies, pirates and some green ones with recycling signs. there really is no room to write on them so mine are just going to say "inforoo 2011" and "dead chick" in black sharpy. do what you want though, id be writing more if my ducks were bigger

Did you get your ducks at Joann craft store by chance? They had a bunch of little themed ducks like that--I bought a few hippie ducks to add to the fountain. I also got a few regular ducks to draw on w/ Sharpie. I'm really excited to see the hodgepodge of duckies in the fountain! Definitely a Kodak moment
I dropped mine after I saw someone else leaving theirs, but there were so many people around that by the time I finished putting down all 19 I could only see 3 left because people had already picked up the others
This duck drop is gonna be tricky - the fountain is so crowded!
Oh, we were supposed to miss the people?
I heaved our's like hand grenades around the fountain. Some people tossed them around but eventually all of them found their way into somebody's Centeroo bag and taken home. Hopefully the duckies will make it back to their fountain at some future Roo.

I saw a girl on the corner last night with a sign that read bring back the ducks. She had her hometown sharpied on the bottom of her foot. Maybe I just dreamed that.
I'm totally in for this idea. Actually, I was thinking about bringing like 100 frisbees in and starting a huge game between this tent and the cinema that big open area. And taping little sayings on the bottom. The duck idea is definitely cool though. I can easily be swayed to bring 100 ducks
