Can't figure out how to get the damn video to attach, but Bonnaroo just posted a video of Dave Grohl playing Band on the Run for Paul McCartney on Facebook... Is this foreshadowing that one or both might be on the farm next year???

just started being discussed in the 2011 headliner thread. not sure what it means (if anything). tho it wouldn't surprise me to see one or both at roo.

still going.
although i would rather have a Daft Punk on What on Saturday... and maybe move MMJ in the spot you have to Arcade Fire, i just think MMJ would be better in an open-ended Late Night like always, while AF works just as well as a Pre-HL

Well, I would obviously rather have Daft Punk too. But putting them in a list makes it already less likely by definition.
And on the MMJ note, While I sort of agree I have little doubt that if both were on the lineup Arcade Fire would be billed higher.
Also, If Superfly wants to move mmj into a headliner eventually they would be better suited to move them into a big main stage spot, putting them before McCartney or Furthur more than likely exposes them to more people than having them LN which again.
And finally, I just want to see arcade play til 4 in the morning.

Awesome videos... I don't listen to foo fighters much but but have a feeling that show would be incredible. It's hard to say if I'd rather have anyone that much more than Macca.

Paul yes, Foo's no.
Although I enjoy the Foo's I have not been impressed by their live show. Would be a waste of a headliner. Grohl can come and play drums for whoever he wants though
I would love to see both Paul & Dave at roo! As a side note, Stevie Wonder was awarded the Gershwin Prize in 09 . . . maybe history will repeat and Paul will be at roo next year!
Saw Paul last week. It was great. He would be the best headliner Bonnaroo has ever had, hands down. They need to do it.
As for Foo Fighters, I used to like them, but their past couple records were terrible and I can think of other people I'd rather see headline (Gorillaz, MMJ)

Wasn't it a couple years ago that Bonnaroo made some kind of announcement related to Tenacious D? Many, including myself, thought for sure that meant they would be on that year's bill, but no dice.
So, don't read anything at all into this, other than they think Grohl and/or McCartney fit Bonnaroo's demographic.

Never heard of this, but they were still on the bill in 2010. And they stepped in as headliner for Outside Lands in 2009, so maybe they were in talks with Superfly but never fell through until late 2009/2010?
Dave Grohl could also mean Them Crooked Vultures, but I doubt it. Or a Nirvana reunion?
Still, I would go absolutely insane and cry if Foo Fighters were the headliner and brought out Jimmy Page/JPJ for a mini-Zeppelin set like at Wembley a couple years ago. Well, that's the only reason I'd want the Foos there...not a huge fan but I like them.

Don't undersell Dave Grohl's lack of ego..... The Foo's will not demand a headliner slot on the right bill. I could see DG coming out to play drums for Zep, AND doing a Foo show pre or post.

Yes, plus Them Crooked Vultures late night and he can sit in with QOTSA. Bonnaroo will be the death of Dave Grohl!
Seriously though, I think Dave is underrated as a songwriter and a musician.
