That would definitely help. I missed that interview, but I'm sure she asked them what they thought of illegal downlads. Titus Andronicus was hilarious during their interview

DFA just reconfirmed that they are an over hyped mess. Saw them in 05 and wasn't impressed, watching them now ditto. I'll take Black Keys over them any day of the week.
The singer/drummer has a little vocal rust, but that music is exhausting... they don't have the benefit of slower numbers to recharge, at all. I still think they're awesome, and doing a satisfactory job, here.

I thought it was just me...I couldnt get into them
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Not much for me on the webcast today. Not enough to keep me glued to a computer screen, I guess. The only thing I'm waiting for is Duran Duran. (Showing my age!!!)

Was only thinking along the lines of if I were putting on a fest and was thinking of booking a stage level duo that is currently active that I would take BK over DFA. I realize that their sounds are very different. I stand by my decision.
Just wasnt my style. Its possible they were a good show I couldnt stayed tuned in long enough to decide either way. It was painful for me. But I will also be sleeping during Arcade Fire. My music tastes dont fall with the masses on this board and Im ok with that.

I saw Duran Duran with some friends in 2006 or 2007 and it was great. They didn't show their age at all and they ran through hit after hit. I know its not for everyone but if you like any of their music it should be a great set.
I missed the show, but everything I've seen of HEALTH live has been awesome. Were they not good at Coachella?
I only watch part of HEALTH, but they did their thing and it sounded good to me. They're obviously not for everyone.
I thought DFA1979 was strong, but I agree that Grainger had some trouble with the vocals. It's tough to hit that balance between sing and scream, though, and he's out of practice. They made up for it in energy, and that's the kind of performance that would be even more intense to see and hear in person. I'm hoping they announce a full blown tour for the fall.
As for the Black Keys comparison....Daft Punk is an active stage-level duo, too. Wanna bring them into this, too?

Bunch of touchy, nit picking twats!
You can bring whoever you want into a duo comparison conversation but I wouldn't put Daft Punk in the same ballpark as DFA. With Black Keys it's at least close with one guy on drums and one guy strumming away. Once again, now that the noise is over, I'm glad that Roo didn't jump aboard the festival whore bandwagon and book DFA. Lots of energy doesn't always equal a great show IMO
Watching The National now, who are always great. Duran Duran seem like a really good time. Wish I was in California right now and not writing papers for school

They are still totally rock stars. Wish they were at Roo...
