Any of you guys fans?? I haven't seen em talked about around here (of course I don't get on here as much as I used to). I've seen em a couple times this year (opening for Colonel Claypool and @ wakarusa). Thought they were really great and deserved some love on the board. Thoughts?
I saw them live first. Opened up for Les Claypool and they had the crowd going crazy. If you get the chance to see em live for cheap you should check em out. Studio wise all I've heard is the "Never Make It Home" album. I've had it in heavy rotation ever since I picked it up. I'm really surpised that there is not more love for these guys on here.
Sorry, I didn't see this thread before. I'm not too familiar with SLR's studio work, but I've seen them live a few times now and they have killed it every time. Unbelievable energy, and they have not lost a step even after Kurt's tragic passing.
These guys are not your typical bluegrass band; they play with the balls of a raw punk outfit. Would love to get them at Bonnaroo.
So you did not get the Dead Kenny G's? They opened for Primus here and were lots of fun.
I was at the Primus show in Nashville....and saw the dead kenny g's. Remind me a little of Mr. Bungle. But I saw Claypool on tour earlier in the year with the fungi band and split lip opened up for them.
