an unidentified man jumped from the roof to the stage last night at the Swell Season's Saratoga, California show, resulting in his death. What an absolute shame. I can't think of a nicer band of people that this could have happened to. Their music shows me the beautiful side of the world and I can't fathom why anyone would choose this end.

Yeah, I had kind of a gut feeling that this would happen, but I kept hoping they could weather on past that and continue as a band. Of course, it can be quite difficult to carry on a relationship with someone as a bandmate after you once had such an intimate relationship with that person. I dunno, I just kept thinking they could pull a White Stripes and carry on regardless.
Anyway, I think it's really, really awesome that they're doing something like this to reach out to any fans who were emotionally affected by the event.
