Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Last year I brought a group of around 50 people in 15 cars to roo. We had a pretty tough time staying together but we did manage to end up camping together. I would like to bring a much larger group next year.
I emailed bonnaroo asking if they have any accommodations for large groups and its been about a week, I haven't heard anything.
I hope they offer a special entrance? or maybe an early arrival time?
They are really not going to help you much. It is way to busy on Thursday to cater to specific individuals. If I was going to do it I would plan on going in Weds. , and either settling for BFE or moving crap up to tent only.
If the hassle of keeping the caravan together looks like it's going to be too much, you could always try letting your vehicles get scattered wherever on entry, but having everyone meet and camp in Tent Only after they've parked.

I've never caravaned into Roo, but I have had large groups at other festivals. I think we had 25-30 cars together at Rothbury in 09, and probably 15 in 08. It's difficult but, doable. You have to find a place to pull over out of the way of traffic to wait. And be prepared to defend your caravan against the parking staff. They WILL try to get you to move on. We had a couple of forceful people in charge of talking with staff, and basically just refused to move (we were well off the road) until everyone got through the checkpoint. It was pretty stressful (thanks to crazy, screaming, security guy), and not the best vibe to start a fest on, but the job was done.
Keep in mind that you will all be parked in a long row, not in a "group". Tent only would be less stressful if that is an option for you.
I'm the exact opposite, if I had it my way I would go solo to every fest or go with 3 people max and just meet my all my other friends at various shows.

load most everything into 4-6 cars. that will be easier to keep together. then when you get split up, if you have a caravan of 20+ cars, everyone meets up at the space the main group was able to secure, and you won't even have to tote that much shit
