I looked into disposable digital cameras a bit, and I'm not sure they would be of any use. Basically the way they're intended to work is that when you fill 'em up you take them someplace to be processed just like you would take a film camera to be developed - so there's still a cost associated with the processing. The only way to avoid that would be to basically hack into them to extract the photos, and while it's possible I think it would be fairly involved and probably require some slightly pricey supplies, so I don't think it would really work to use those and hope the random people who pick 'em up will somehow get the pictures to us.
The Sanuk booth is a really good idea, though. Unless there's something I'm not thinking of, really all we need is a drop location - all they would need to do is toss the cameras in back somewhere and keep 'em around until we showed up to grab them. No real work or cost or anything on their part, so it seems like they might be willing to help. And if they were, we might be able to just number the cameras or something. So if you bought a camera you could just stop in and ask them if they had camera number 7, or whatever. It doesn't really even matter if the cameras get back to the people who initially bought them, I suppose, as long as everyone ends up with the right number based on how much money they wanted to spend. And then maybe we could have one person who would try to stop by as late as possible and grab whatever was unclaimed in case anyone forgot about it, and then that person could either develop any extras themselves or try to snail mail them to the original owner or something.
just make a imageshack or flickr gallery and link it. Otherwise the link to the thumbnail is available when you do the host it option on here. Thats great it worked out, anything memorable?

Ok figured it out! I left 5 disposable cameras in random places around the campgrounds and inside centeroo. They all had this message "if you find this camera, take some pics and pass it to the next person. If you take the last pic or find it with 0 left, please drop it off at lost and found. I will pick it up, develop it, and post the pics on facebook and iforoo. If you participate THANK YOU for letting us see bonnaroo through your eyes!"
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
OK, haven't read EVERY post in this thread but glanced through and am LOVING the idea! I have an internet domain that let's me host up to five different web portals without cost me any more than I am already paying. I am only using 2 of the five so would gladly donate one to this effort. You guys figure out a unique site name and I'll create it and get some of you the login to help set up the site and manage it since I barely have time to breathe some weeks! I will also be willing to buy up some cheap SD/flash cards that people could use with their digital cameras and we can have a couple of locations to turn them back in, upload them to the website then clear them out to be used again. Doable?
