That would be a great show, I wonder where they would play; I would hope for That because it has the best sound for LN imo, however I bet they would get Which.

I back this idea as well, would love to strike these guys of my must see list. I myself wondered if they would be in That tent a few months back but I was quickly let know on this board that they would be a Which LN. I wonder still though if they would draw a huge Which crowd?
I would LOVE them on the farm. It's weird to think about where they would play though, I see them best in a LN tent, but it seems that their fan base would require the Which stage...any way you look at it they need to be there!
^ the end of the world must be here because I am actually HOPING for a serious confilctaroo if Portishead happens.
To those who think Portishead is too big for a tent, they haven't released anything since 2008. Band placement at the roo is more about who is "hot" right now (KoL) and not really about how loyal the fanbase is. this is why I think they are best suited for a tent.
Portishead would be a dream latenight act for me at Roo. I really think that if they did play it would have to be on the Which stage and not in a tent though.
Disregard my previous statement if they get an orchestra to play with them. They would need the late which in that case.
Orchestra or not they would be LN Which or pre-headliner What. I think your grossly underestimating the draw Portishead has. Other than Coachella it's been more than ten years since they've played a show in the states. People from all over would be at Bonnaroo just for them. This reminds me of the people who said that Pavement would be in a tent if they played.
^ That is a valid point but what I am saying is that the fact that they have been outside the (mainstream) american musical landscape for so long, I think that they would end up either closing a tent or LN in a tent.
By the way, this is mostly wishful thinking because I am operating under the assumption that the schedule is going to be so packed that Portishead get pushed (perhaps unfairly) to a tent.
