Portishead would DEFINITELY play Which. No doubt about it. Portishead's draw>The National's draw (although The National's draw is pretty solid as well). The National played Which this year. End of discussion.
Yeah, I agree, wolf. The National was the first Which Stage act from last year that popped into my head that Portishead definitely has a bigger draw than.
hmmm. checked out his twitter after that and he said they are going to do split headline shows with arcade fire next year. but he posted again and said it's not a tour. so...?

I would love to see them there, but don't get too much hope for Portishead at Roo. They have already said the American leg of their tour won't be until September or October. I know this doesn't rule them out, but they are apparently working on a new album now and planning a Euro tour for July-August, with some festival dates already announced. I wouldn't expect to see them doing shows until that time.

tweet from today...
@jetfury Happy New Year...are u really doing both Coachella AND Bonnaroo?

^How would you take that as a good sign? It could mean a)They are playing just Coachella, b) They are playing neither Coach or Roo. If anything, that seems like a negative sign to me. The first tweet was a positive sign, but the second one isn't.

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio." -Hunter S. Thompson
