Would it be a bad idea to bring my nikon digital slr (D200)... I'd only bring 1 lens... the guidelines on the website were a little vague as to what professional camera equipment is. I won't bring it if someone's going to try and take it from me or possibly kick me out.
I'm no expert here and this is my first Roo, but from reading around the forums, I believe you'll be turned away at the gates with that camera. You'd need a press pass to get in with any detachable lens cameras. Sucks, cuz I was gonna bring my Rebel XT.....ehhhh, but then I kinda sold it to get cash for goods at Roo lol. Looks like the digital elph will be coming along.
You should be fine. worst case scenario stand in another line. They wont confiscate your equipment. There are different turnstyles and depending on the guard they will let different things in. You are looking at a 5 to 10 minute line most of the time so it is not a big deal. Have a great time.
