I have been in touch with Jeff at AC recently about the tree planting for Matt. Right now, it looks like we are going to be shooting for the week of Oct. 11 - 15. It is going to be on a weekday. I tried to shoot for a weekend, but Jeff said that during the week would be best on their end. We will be trying for around 4:00 PM, so if anyone need to try to make it down after work.
We don't have the exact day planned yet, I am hoping he will let me know soon.
As soon as we know what day it will be on, I will post so that everyone knows.
Julie, I need to talk to you on the phone, I will try to call you this afternoon if thats OK.

Actually yes, it is a coincedence. I ahve been trying to get the planting arranged for a while, but we just now was able to get this week coordinated with bonnaroo.
Its cool that it happened this way, however.
The Carpe DM's, from what I have been told, will be available around Oct. 20th.
Yeah - I can't take a weekday from work since I'm taking this Friday and Monday the 11th for ACL. I wanted to come so badly! but I think it's so fantastic that AC is doing this, and RooFan thank you so much for organizing. Maybe someone can tape it all and YouTube it for us who can't make it to see how it goes? I dont want to cheapen it, but I'd love to see the actual planting happen. Much love to my Inforoosters <3

Wow! If there is ANY way they could arrange it on the 11th that would be great! I would TOTALLY be there!! That's a work and school holiday and I would be off...I could even bring my 12 year old with me to see it, what a great introduction to Bonnaroo for him that would be
But let me know whenever it is...I will try to take off work early and drive up for it whatever day that week if I can....it's the least I can do for Matt.
I got an email from Jeff today telling me that they want to try for the 18th or 19th now. That is a Monday or Tuesday of the following week.
Evidently, the issue is that Russ Bennett, the grounds designer is going to be on site when we do it and they need to schedule us when he is going to be there.
He was going to be there next week, but it looks like that has been bumped back to the following week.
sorry about that guys, but I have no control over when the roo folks let us in. I am just grateful that they are willing to.....
OK Guys, I got confirmation from Jeff. We are doing it on the 19th, Tuesday at the roo grounds at 4:30 PM.
If you want to participate, be there at 4:30. Please come to the main Bonnaroo gate, which is off exit 111, turn onto Bushy Branch road and it it the gate right at the second sharp curve on Bushy Branch.
Please, if you have a shovel or a spade, please bring it as we are gonna have to dig the hole. Any extra implements of digging will be helpful.

Dearly Beloved, We are Gathered Here Today to Get Through This Thing Called Life
I have numerous shovels, a post hole digger, a pickup truck, and two wheelbarrows I can bring with me, do we know how big of a tree this is going to be?
I won't be able to make it to this (Yes, I was considering a 12-hour drive for the occasion) but I know people in the area and have put out the all-call. I also have people lined up for his shoe. Matt will not be forgotten!
Sadly, I can't take any time off work right now and will not be able to come. Totally bummed.
