"Just FYI people: the lowest priced tickets of the year, Early Bird Tickets, are set to expire and go up to the next level this Friday 3/4 at 3 PM EST. Save $70 off the gate price on 4-day and $60 off gate price on 3-day. Stay tuned for your ticketing order confirmation email as well..."
I'm sure some of you saw this already, but figured I'd make sure. This makes it hard for me when I havent decided yet but want to save the money. *conflicted*

In our case the decision was easy. 'Roo is unaffordable this year. All Good, being about half the price all things considered, is within doable budgets.
A question for those who know; I don't mind walking (kinda like it, actually), and last year we were camped out about as far as you can go at 'Roo. On average, how do walking distances at AG compare to 'Roo?

I figure I could volunteer at either. Moreso at Roo since I've been there before (AG I'd like to do without volunteering the 1st time), but I also need an idea what my work will be like. I just babysit right now but don't wanna do this forever. At least babysitting has some flexibility though so I could have an easier time of asking off than a regular job, I bet.
good question though. I just saw video last night of someones 2010 adventures at AG and saw him remark how they were walking up and down the hill from the camping area so many times that weekend. I'd like to know the walking distance as well.
CA, maybe KP's GF, some of the Yazoo staff. Potentially more than 4 actually.
We're gona have to take more than one car!!!
Especially considering I am going to the beach afterward not back to Nashville. I can carry camping junk in my truck though so there is more seating room for the others. Hopefully teine will come out tonight and we can start to work on a strategy. Also KP, and L may take that pickup of theirs.

it depends on where you're parked. we got there super early last year, and were inside and parked within about 1.5hrs or so. we were very close which made any kind of walking a breeze. i definitely think the earlier you arrive the better the parking spot.
then again, last year was my first year, so that may not be true. they just seemed to be going front to back in the area we were.

It is smaller, however there are hills so it evens out to being about the same imo.

I was as far as you can get last year, and it took about 20-30 minutes to walk from the concert area, OVER a mountain, to where I was camped (or about 5 minutes in a taxi when I could get one)
I owe everyone a case of beer for helping me haul my crap to Camp Infogood. What a pain. But well worth it. The most fun I had at a festival last summer.
I won't be arriving late and leaving early this year, that's for sure.

I can always drive the (old) Corrolla. I just put new tires on it last weekend. Its only got 175k on it.
Did anyone see the taxi driver that looked like Dog the Bounty Hunter? He had a ginormous tattoo of Ronald McDonald on his back. It was horrible and disturbing and fascinating all at the same time.
are any of you guys headed to allgood from the pittsburgh area?
my gf and I are gonna try to fly in to pitt (from AZ) but don't want to rent a car to get there (flying into morgantown is just way too expensive) and were hoping we could find some inforooers that were making the drive. we'll stop by the inforoo brunch, so we can meet and you'll know we aren't weirdo wooks.
can't seem to find an allgood board like inforoo, so figured this was the best bet.

We were stuck behind the two vehicles that broke down -one in each lane as we snaked through town. Even with that we got a nice spot on @^& Hill and it was only a 10 minute walk through the woods to the stage (Thanks to an open spot in the fence behind the Ice truck).
An alternative to the walk is the inexpensive taxi service. I think it is only $2 per trip.
So we'll be trying to get 20+ cars in together this year, possibly? Sounds like an adventure.
Oh yes, adventure indeed. We had what 7 cars last year? And ended up losing J on the way in somehow. Numbering the cars like the Roo VIP caravan should help.
If we get anywhere near where we were last year I'll be happy. There was definitely plenty of space and the walk wasn't too bad. If we would've arrived much later we would've possibly been parked down that HUGE hill that was behind us. I walked that hill a couple times and it SUCKED!

As a preliminary guess I would plan on it honestly. If you can drive four I can take the gear.
I've volunteered both times I've been to AG. In '08, I worked with The Work Exchange Team Wed. & Thus. pre-fest in the catering tent. Last year, I worked post-fest with Clean Vibes. You can sign up at Cleanvibes.com or Workexchangeteam.com
good news...no great news...WV's own Fletcher's Grove is gonna be playin ag...these guys are the real deal, no joke. check em out on fb or youtube or whatever...awesome young jam band
When Furthur started they had Jay Lane and Russo both on drums like the Rhythm Devils. After Primus reformed Jay left but if they are both there for the weekend......
