Sounds good man. It's crazy you won cuz I basically got that lineup off facebook. Magic I say.
you got it off their facebook page? i'm not sure how i won. but it's funny because i sent in some guesses earlier and i kept joking with zapp that i was going to win. then i really did.

Ben Miller Band is super cool bluegrass complete with washtub bass. They may be at the bottom of the lineup, but they kick so much ass. They are playing locally tonight, but I'm too broke. Ah, darn. I got some quarters...
And Ha Ha Tonka is also super cool. They used to be called Amsterband and back in the day my student org booked them a bunch of times. Love those guys.
Love this line up!! Anyone going should def check out Dirtfoot! Fun fun fun band!!!
I second this....actually, I first it since I introduced y'all
This presents a tough dilema becasue I don't think I cann afford to go to both. Waka is just so much closer and cost affordable for us and really MMJ is my main draw.
I'd still like to try for both but Dallas prob can't get both weekends off.
Hold off for Roo or go ahead with Waka? Decisions, decisions.
I think I am stuck with Bonnaroo no matter what - I cannot get the teenager to entertain the idea of Wakarusa - she has her heart set on Bonnaroo for some reason. And what's horrible is both Waka and Bonnaroo are about the same distance for us - so that's not really a factor - it'll be 6-7 hours on the road either way

Oh, and, since you have to pay for campsites and all, someone who knows what's up should pick a common spot for everyone to meet up on the daily... or something.
awesome. first lineup i've seen so far this year with TOKiMONSTA on it. if i wasn't hiking the AT this year i'd definitely move this fest to the top of my considerations.
so i'm a little confused on how the camping works at waka. the car gets a main stage camping pass and you can just camp by your car? b/c in the pics i saw it looks like there might be a tent only area. and then there's reserved campsites?

Yep. You camp by your car. There are few reserved sites, but those sold out like a month ago. You just buy a pass for whatever camping area you want (one per car), and they line you up just like at Roo.
Things to understand about Waka camping. Don't buy the cheapest one or you will have to ride a school bus 3 miles up a mountain at 4 am. It was terrible.
Mainstage is in the main area by the stage (not trying to be dumb or funny), the cheapest one (riverside I think) is 3 miles away. I had it last year, not worth it. The brakes in the school bus shuttle went out so we skidded down a mountain in a school bus full of hippies. Everyone was freaking out except one guy who sang "Phish tour starts on Friday" the while way down. The camping that say west woods is ok, it's across the road from the fest site, not a bad walk but I doubt you could hear music from your site. Honestly, if the early admission camping is still on sale I would advise you to get it. Imagine the line to Roo (if you've ever been) but on the side of a mountain...

That actually sounds like a lot of fun.
especially if you get to see a hippie fall off a mountain.
I'm hoping for Emancipator, Beats Antique, and Eliot Lipp. I would actually try to wake up for those (staying up...probably not gonna happen this year.)
