Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Nice... most likely no Roo (no surprise), but I will definitely go out of my way to see them. Have they done a full US tour recently, or was Coachella a one off?
Just for the record, I don't know how popular Swans are on this board, but they are incredible, if you've not listened (to anyone reading this). New album is very good, almost as good as anything they've ever done, so I'd advise that as a good starting point.
I will roadtrip to Chicago from Nashville if they play there. Zapp feel free to use my place as a halfway, and nod feel free to fly in and get a pickup from the airport.
Not to speak for anyone but I can promise teine and at least one other friend of mine will be down. Depending on the dates roofanintn might be kidnapable as well.
Edit
I bet Druid is down as well.

If Chicago and NYC are the only dates anywhere near us(the south) then I think I will try to drive and Amtrak up to Chicago. I really hope Chicago isn't the only option It would hurt pretty badly to miss them altogether.
Camp Inforoo Chicago??

^It can happen I put camp infogood together. If that is the option just drive to Nashville and I think we should all be able to convoy. There is also no reason we can not get hotel rooms at the same place and ask for adjoining rooms. I have been doing this for Phish shows and my friends for a long time now, no reason we can not figure it all out.

I'm worried it might just be Chicago, NY, SF, and LA.
I really hope its not just those cities but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm guessing that the only way they would come to North Carolina is if they played Moogfest. It does land in the september/october timeframe but its still probably unlikely.
^I hadn't thought of that, but that actually sounds like it would fit together nicely for Moogfest 2 a la Massive Attack this year. I could definitely see that going down. That'd be awesome. Maybe if that happens it won't be just me, Zapp, Airline, and Garageland representin' inforoo in Asheville.

Fans are still patiently waiting on Portishead’s fourth studio album but in the meantime multi-instrumentalist/producer Geoff Barrow has tweeted the group’s ground rules for the release including the stipulations that there will be “NO meet and greet” and ironically “NO Twitter.”
Barrow told fans what the new album is going to be all about (or rather, not about) in six tweets Wednesday.
“There will be NO free downloads There will be NO bonus tracks There will be NO remixes There will be NO hidden footage,” Barrow declared.
“There will be NO additional content There will be NO corporate partners There will be NO fashion lines There will be NO tabloid pictures. There will be NO £25 unit cost There will be NO street team There will be NO myspace There will be NO celeb producer There will be NO twitter. There will be NO press/blogger gig There will be NO acoustic session There will be NO meet and greet There will be NO edited version. There will be NO iTunes only There will be NO press launch There will be NO asian version There will be NO radio friendly.”
Barrow wrapped up the announcement by simply stating, “Just music and us.”

Portishead’s third studio album, appropriately titled Third, was released in 2008. The release marked the band’s first studio album in eleven years.
In September 2009 Barrow told BBC News the band was in the studio and had started writing new tunes. He said it was possible the fourth album could be released by late 2010.
Portishead released the new tune “Chase The Tear” in December 2009 in honor of International Human Rights Day. Proceeds from the single benefit Amnesty International.
The band has lined up a number of festival appearance including Hurricane in Germany (June 17), Southside in Germany (June 18), Malta Festival in Poland (July 6), Pohoda Festival in Slovakia (July 9), Superbock Superock Festival in Portugal (July 15), Benicassim Festival in Spain (July 17) and Festival De Nimes in France (July 19).
Portishead will headline and curate the new All Tomorrow’s Parties’ event I’ll Be Your Mirror July 23-24. The festival takes place at Alexandra Palace in London.
