So I sent an email to Charlie of Such and Such to see if they might be returning to the farm for the tenth anniversary. I got a quick reply:
"i really dont know and its unclear? and as of the now there is no booking of our such n such energies... one would hope they would bring back a portion of the setup for the big whoooragh!"
I told him to keep me updated. Did you guys miss the AoSaS this year?
I hope they bring back Such'n'Such or something similar to sherwood forest. I certainly missed it, that techno stage they had in its place was terrible.

I hated that stage dude. I swear to god...the Green Day Rockband crap. The same 5 Green Day songs being played over and over and over and over. It overpowered anything that was being played on the surrounding stages during the day.
I liked such and such a lot more in 06 when there were no fences and it was a lot more interactive and adult with the carnival and nudity and so on. That being said I would take a petting zoo over the Lunar Stage at this point, at least it would not drown out everything else and make me listen to Green day in my campsite.
2006 was by far the best year of such'n'such. Those rusty steel statues they lit on fire and electified blew my mind
I can not even imagine them doing that at Bonnaroo these days, white hot steel with no fences around it. Naked fire breathing women in the crowd, standing around the smoke ring machine sigh.... I do miss the good old days sometimes, but I can see why they stopped doing it as well.
I'd really like this back but I also was one of the few people who enjoyed the Lunar stage at times. I agree with all the complaints (shitty placement, too loud, etc.) and it ruined most of Dan Deacon for me, but I had some good times there from 2-6 AM. I agree they need to get rid of the Rock Band nonsense and put it under a tent.
Hopefully they can re-incorporate SuchNSuch without getting rid of Lunar.

Yea, I wasn't impressed with the water park. I would replace that, or the Adult Swim area, with the such n such. And the Lunar Stage has its purpose, but it should be constructed into a Tent this year. It would help with the sound and create a cooler experience I think.

That water park just looked like a big brown lake of hepatitis to me.

Yea, I wore my swim trunks in to centeroo on Friday, planning on trying it out, but decided against it immediately. The fountain post-Thursday is bad enough, now we have a park of flowing camper-funk.

Yea I appreciate the effort, but at a certain point I'm not getting in it. I would say just some basic shade tents or more misting tents would have been better, although after a couple days it just turns into a big mud pit

I'm pretty sure I avoided that whole area (Lunar Stage and the "water park") like the plague. I was really upset that the fire flies weren't there either.
I've never understood the love of Art of Such and Such. It never entertained me personally and in fact just bored me ta tears when 'Roo virgins I went with insisted on seein' in.
But I also didn't care fer the water park or Lunar Stage this year, so whatever I guess.
Second the motion on ousting Adult Swim and replacing it with AOS&S. I'm a big Adult Swim fan and that carnival area was about as lame as it gets. Here I was with my brain all tuned up perfectly hoping to see a life-sized Master Shake be-bopping through the crowd…or better yet, Frylock floating by…and what do I get? A plywood midway. Hoo-hah.
Pigeon Roaster and Kitty Toaster! I like the metal working/ fire aspect of it. I'm a bit of a pyro...
Me too, you should have seen the fire garden in 06 8 foot tall white hot glowing steel statues with no fences around them you could light a cigarette off them and I certainly did.

I just always liked it cause it was kinda off to the side, you could go enjoy the art, throw a frisbee, and enjoy some free time with friends between shows. Plus like Jess keeps mentioning 06 had a badass such'n'such; that being my first year and it being so awesome probably tinted my view on the installation as a whole.

Adult Swim Thing has a lot of great potential for weirdness at night. I'd like to see them improve that area and keep it.
Getting rid of AoSaS is a great idea though. It was pretty boring. Replace it with some better art installations all though out the fest. That giant area where it was always takes me out of being at a festival and feeling like I'm in a shitty back yard.

I am definitely all about some more art installations. This year there was NOTHING and it irked me a bit. If AoSaS doesn't come back, I would like to see something impressive. Amazing even!
