If we are, in fact, still getting a "classic rock" headliner, to play pre-Eminem/Dr.Dre, I think it won't be a huge act (Paul McCartney, U2, Roger Waters). I think it would be someone of headlining status, but not mindblowingly huge of a name. That being said, I was just checking through Pollstar and, I havent waded through 218 pages of this yet, but has anyone noticed that RUSH currently has a free date on Sat June 11? They're in New Orleans on Fri and Austin on Sun...so its not outside the realm of possibility. Its not an unusual gap though; it seems they have a day off between most shows so it probably doesnt mean anything, but its something to think (wish) about.
It's been talked about, but everyone has pointed out they have dates between all their shows. It doesn't rule them out, I guess, but doesn't make it any more likely.
I think we'll see a RHCP, REM, Muse, Killers (gag) in that spot. I'm hoping for Neil, though.
I don't know if it would be necessarily a Classic Rock act. Maybe a pop act like Beyonce or Gaga. Not that I'm hoping for that. But I'm just trying to help keep you from getting your hopes up.

ABB could maybe be sunday closer (not saying this year, just hypothetical) and Robert wont headline with the Band of Joy. hell need some help from a guitar player by the name of Jimmy Page and also from John Paul Jones and possibly a kid named Bonham if he wants to reach headliner status but that isnt happening this year or ever it seems
When I saw Rush on the Snakes and Arrows tour they had a ton of stage equipment to move around and set up; probably the reason for the day gap between shows.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

^^ I agree. I think we sometimes forget how clueless we were before she came in and helped. She definitely made the line-up waiting time go a lot smoother. Thanks insider!
"I mean, Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees." "this whole situation has just turned his whole life upside down face."
2012: RHCP, Phish, Beach Boys, Aziz, The Roots, Alice Cooper, Superjam, Blackstar, The Word, Luda, Flogging Molly, Spectrum Road, Umphrey's, Black Lips, Gary Clark Jr., Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Trampled By Turtles

Without Insider we would still have no clue about The Black Keys. We had mostly ruled out Arcade Fire. MMJ would still just be a desperate wish. We would still be hoping for something not called Widespread Panic. And nobody would be talking about Eminem.

What insider has done, thankfully, is eliminate any Tuesday disappointment for me. I'm no longer thinking Radiohead, Prince, etc. And I'm fine with that, considering the names she's given us and the other expected acts (Primus being one).

I feel the exact same way, my expectation isn't too high and any surprise that happens will be on the undercard, which still no one knows for sure. That is really exciting to me, I cannot wait for the lineup to drop now.
its one thing to put kiss on a fake lineup but to put them first billed that makes that the worst fake lineup ive ever seen not to mention the lineup looks like it was made on word with the bonnaroo logo pasted in

I think Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds would be billed way higher than on that fake.... if it happens though I hope all you dmb haters would give it a chance, they can tear it up acoustic.

from what I was told, the lineup was a snapshot of what was on the bonnaroo.com website. Now that might not be the lineup, but that's what it was on the website at the time. Very similar to hangout posting their "lineup" on their website ahead of time. So it's not a poster by any means.
thanks for the heads up...didn't check my pm. oh neat! there's mine....just thought it was odd for her. usually she logs on, posts, and then is gone for a while.

Might you show some TX love and shoot me that PM if this is serious? I follow these boards pretty closely but have never really gotten in on any PM action.
Thanks!!!
edit: oops... looks like i was in the process of writing this when ^^^ was posted. Plus I was eating my corn salad when i saw the original tease and I went into a bit of a tizzy.
