That being said -- you either need to have intercourse with individuals who possess something more than topical knowledge on the subject of potential headliners for this year's show -- or you may wish to look deep within yourself to determine why positive attention is so important for you to have on a semi-anonymous media. Just a thought. I would like to point out that a great deal of your information thus far has been completely erroneous -- save the artists that have already confirmed publicly.
Regardless -- this is going to be an exceptional year for non-headlining acts. That isn't to say the headliners are sub par in the least. Just that you should expect the normal set of Modern-ClassicRock-HipHip-Jam headliners (all of whom are rather palatable to each specific genre) and a rather grin-inducing list of non-headlining acts. Moreso than the previous years. It will be a rather enjoyable lineup. Promise.
And there is my worthless $0.02. No leaks. No speculation. No information to corroborate my identity.

Whoa, whoa. So we are going to get a Classic Rock act? I had pretty much ruled that out in my mind. Honestly, I don't know why I believe this guy so readily...I didn't trust sunshinebecker or any of the other asshats, but this just strikes me as legitimate...
Gregg Allman and Robert Plant are going to be on the farm how in the world did you rule a classic rock headliner out?

This is pretty much exactly what i'm hoping for (the undercard at least) your forgetting portugal the man and girl talk though, i believe (which have both been all but officially confirmed) and a few metal acts (namely protest the hero, new album coming out and they would kill) but this looks just about perfect to me
If we are, in fact, still getting a "classic rock" headliner, to play pre-Eminem/Dr.Dre, I think it won't be a huge act (Paul McCartney, U2, Roger Waters). I think it would be someone of headlining status, but not mindblowingly huge of a name. That being said, I was just checking through Pollstar and, I havent waded through 218 pages of this yet, but has anyone noticed that RUSH currently has a free date on Sat June 11? They're in New Orleans on Fri and Austin on Sun...so its not outside the realm of possibility. Its not an unusual gap though; it seems they have a day off between most shows so it probably doesnt mean anything, but its something to think (wish) about.

It's been talked about, but everyone has pointed out they have dates between all their shows. It doesn't rule them out, I guess, but doesn't make it any more likely.
I think we'll see a RHCP, REM, Muse, Killers (gag) in that spot. I'm hoping for Neil, though.
yep, they were a snooze-fest at voodoo 09...and i was kind of excited to see them for the pyro and all that shit, but i was greatly disappointed and left after about 3-4 songs..
