Friday night headliners: Arcade Fire & My Morning Jacket
Hmm, I'm not one to over-plan way in advance, but if this is true, I guess I know when my "pounding cans of Yuengling behind my car"-time will be on Friday June 10th, since I won't have a lot else to do for a couple hours.
Sunday headliners: Robert Plant & the Band of Joy & Widespread Panic
...and when my "pack up the easy-up and misc. junk so we don't have to worry about it in the morning"-time will be. (I'm not looking at you, Robert Plant.)
But that's all okay. It will be fun. And I've been thinking I should get more organized anyway.

so maybe cee-lo and guests to close which with black keys on what, into a classic rock HL like rolling stones or neil and friends/Buffalo Springfield, into Em/Dre
that's a hell of a saturday for the tenth year
Except there probably won't be a classic rock headliner.
i still don't get how everyone on here is taking Insider with 100% confidence. something went down last night. there's no way they don't have a big "classic act" as a headliner. do it like they did last year...Black Keys ----> Rock headliner ---> Hip-hop late night on What. its the 10th anniversary...they arent gonna hold anything back.

why are we takin insider with 100% confidence? because shes been dead on in 2009 and 2010. look at her post history. not to hard to understand why we are taking her with 100% confidence.

I am with you man. I guess I am just hopeful for a totally epic Roo X, but it def makes sense and the signs are there for a big surprise or 2.
I don't know of that many people who even knew Big Boi put out a solo album recently. And I have never heard Shutterbug not being played on my iPod or that of my friends. F!uck You is a huge song right now, but let's face it one big radio song doesn't make Cee Lo Green more relevant/popular than Eminem who was arguably the biggest rapper of the 2000s.

It's weird how some people still think Arcade Fire is a secret or not big enough to headline. They were a secret at festivals in 2005, but it's 2011 now. Neon Bible debuted at #2 on Billboard in 2007. They played a huge show at Glastonbury. Maybe now that they've won album of the year people will stop acting like they are some hip new indie rock band.
I am not thinking insider is wrong, but hopeful that at the time she posted here she was not privy to all of the latest information which occured over the last week and may just indeed include that special addition.
Either way it is going to be another great Roo. Bring on the lineup!!
ARCADE FIRE! ALBUM OF THE YEAR! Grammy's finally got it right.
out of the nominations Arcade Fire was the best. however the best album was the band who beat them for Alt Rock Album of the Year(Black Keys - Brothers ftr)

fair enough, but i also think she either got incomplete or wrong info. the bonnaroo organizers obviously know someone is leaking info. i doubt they spend the greater part of the year putting together a lineup and are happy when someone that works for them leaks info. if she's right, fine, but i really dont think she has all of the info.
Not that my friends have any musical credibility, but there are currently 9 people on my Facebook with statuses asking who Arcade Fire is. Just saying (and I think that they are big enough to headline).

I highly doubt Insider is wrong. She wouldn't leak the names unless the bands were already contracted and confident, I would think (and she's never been wrong, so she knows what she is talking about). At this point, we're mostly looking for a late minute headliner that got added on before Eminem/Dre. Other than that, it's pretty safe to say that the top of the lineup is Eminem/AF/WSP/MMJ/Plant .
I wouldn't expect a Saturday headliner pre-Eminem, but given past years of having a classic rock act, Ashley Capp's latest tweet, and Insider being rather vague about that night I guess there's a glimmer of opportunity, but don't get your hopes up.

Has there been any truly credible source (including Insider) who has said there certainly will NOT be a classic rock headliner on saturday night? If not, then I don't see why the Stones (Mick's obviously ready) or Buffalo Springfield (all but confirmed that they're ready to tour) are so out of reach.
Doesn't everybody deserve to have the good life? -Dave Matthews Diaraby Magni. -Vieux Farka Toure Nature is the infrastructure of our society. -Roo sign The Road goes on forever and the Party never ends. -Robert Earl Keen That was ridiculous! -Mayer Hawthorne Hopefully this will cool things off. -Dr. Dog, leading into "The Breeze" We're in the middle of our one day tour here. -Jack Black

all she did was give us the info she had, and admitted there were still things still in the works. she also never claimed that she was necessarily giving us the first 6 names on the lineup either
and people forgot that this board doesnt represent Bonnaroos entire population of attendees, at all. most of my friends who have been to more times than I and pay no attention to this place and are completely unaware of the rumors and speculation that goes on here until i tell them.
Insider would have mentioned them if they were already contracted to play when she leaked the other headliners. Doesn't make sense to leave one out. It is possible they were in negotiations and finally came through the other night after Ashley's tweet, I guess. But to think that Insider was hiding it from us is rather odd...
Silver Surfer #Arcade fire!!!!!!!!!! There is hope!!! I feel like we all won when something like this happens! quacking AWESOME!
Tell 'em, yeezy.
Strange, because I know I read an interview a few years back where 'Ye said he didn't get the Arcade Fire thing. Guess he came around. Good for him.
I was in the same boat. I thought the first album was pretty derivative, the second album had poor production choices but good songs but the last album, I came completely around. They just write good songs. I think of them as the heir apparent to Springsteen.

I don't think that we shouldn't think of Robert Plant as the classic rock headliner. He is the definition of classic rock headliner/prime time performer.
