Because those fake lineups are being made on rumors, confirmations. Nothing suprising on those fake lineups.

Yes because through research and hard work those of us who are on here all year found a lot of acts that will be playing. He is tweeting those and making others up.

Surely there will be. I am hoping for some bigger names though.. The lineup needs to be better than that, imo. That lineup mostly sucked.

So, he made more money playing the Ryman and doing charity benefits than a one gig that pays in six figures for Bonnaroo? Pretty impressive if true.
My understanding is that he made a killing each night on that tour. The high end tickets on that tour were REALLY high end.
I don't know about the others outside of Biloxi, but I was able to buy mine for the normal price. But when the scalpers got involved and sold the show out before my friends could buy a ticket and started asking $400 a pop for those small venues that were used for a canned food drive for the coast after Katrina ravaged them well....I have to disagree.
Believe me, I would love for me to be nothing but wrong, but I'm starting to think there's serious weight behind Phil Lesh being mad at Bonnaroo. How would you like it if you were a seasoned musician behind one of the greatest bands on Earth (Grateful Dead) and helped jumpstart a festival and create a new whole new ballgame for the music industry in America, only to be upstaged by some clown who thinks he is owed something because he acts like an ass and people don't like it? As well as being able to rap good. You wouldn't would you? And you would do the professional thing, which is to play your contract out but don't ever go back there. And you would warn your friends right?

There's already a ton of big names on it, not to mention the complete lineup will have twice as many names on it, probably only just a few more big names.
Some of the big names/big gets/"once in a lifetime" acts I see are Buffalo Springfield, Arcade Fire, Eminem, Strokes, Massive Attack, Plant, Primus, Roots, Bruce Hornsby, Black Star, Death From Above 1979, Big Boi, Raekwon, Scissor Sisters, Wanda Jackson with Jack White, Low, Matt & Kim, Florence + the Machine and The Twilight Singers, not to mention this lineup is drowning in rap artists that are probably well known but I've never heard of. There's almost too much rap, they don't need anymore.

What makes you think Phil Lesh and Neil Young are that close?
Neil had the opportunity to make a ton of money on an acoustic tour, which is something he hadn't really done in a long time. There was a fan demand for it. He decided to do that instead of Bonnaroo. Simple as that.
Phil Lesh had nothing to do with it.

Today's Twitter lineup might have more hits than misses. If it's not a real leak, then someone did some pretty good sleuthing.
That said I'm hoping that it's not the real lineup.
Friday sounds fantastic (AF and MMJ) but Eminem/Widespread/Neil Young would be a bit weak. I mean, the last Bonnaroo I went to had Nine Inch Nails, Phish, and Wilco all still lying in the wait after Friday!
I'm 27, you guys will all learn soon enough, as I slowly have. It's all about honoring our musical past, present, and future. If I told you The Yardbirds or Derek and the Dominos were playing, many of you would be more focused on catching a Ghostland set over those guys, not knowing that these bands featured the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page. It's moments like this I realize why Inforoo is so frustrating. The majority of you guys need to do your homework.
I am 25 and if either of those two bands were to play at the Farm, I'd pass out.

If I told you The Yardbirds or Derek and the Dominos were playing, many of you would be more focused on catching a Ghostland set over those guys, not knowing that these bands featured the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page. It's moments like this I realize why Inforoo is so frustrating. The majority of you guys need to do your homework.

I just ran across a really bad fake poster. I feel obligated to link it because I haven't seen it on here, but the fact that it has no graphics and contains typos makes it an obvious fake. Plus a fair amount of bands are ordered poorly.

I mean...the fact that Ashley Capps had to speak out about this says more than his actual words. There have been TONS of fake lineups out there, and not a peep from AC. Then, this one comes along, and he's making cryptic remarks about not believing insider information? I'd take his words with a grain of salt - what concert promoter is going to be like "YEP THATS THE LINEUP! WHAT A JOB BY THAT GUY TO LEAK IT!"
I still don't think it's real, but AC tweeting about it doesn't swing me. If anything, it makes me think there's something (no matter how small) to all this.

Wowwww. Eric Clapton and Jimmy Paige were in bands called Derek and the Dominos and The Yardbirds?? Learn something knew everyday.

i just looked at it more because this one is gonna reach a lot more people so he killed it.
I mean...that's the point. He hasn't responded to any other "rumors" out there, not even when somebody (coughcoughBootheadcoughcough) makes up a fake lineup, with fake Bonnaroo letterhead, and sends it to a magazine. So why respond now? His addressing this by denying it makes me MORE likely to think there's something to it, not less.
Think about it - if it's legit, he's not going to admit it. Hey, random internet guy, THANKS! You know? He'll either deny it, or keep silent.
So far he's been silent about everything else. So why not on this? Especially with the lineup out so soon.
Again, I think it's fake, I don't think they got a couple of those bands to commit, frankly. (Groove Armada? GTFOH) But AC didn't "debunk" anything.
When someone is releasing a lineup and we point out he missed a band then 5 minutes later he tweets it I get pretty darn suspicious that someone is just trying to wind this place up. Past that he named people we are pretty sure are not playing, and left out some we are pretty sure will be playing. The BEP guy has as little credibility as anyone else.
