NIN's Bonnaroo show was his last US show ever until well after the lineup was announced....
nin didn't play any shows after the ones he actively marketed as his final shows. "wave goodbye". because, you know, booking + announcing + playing shows immediately after your self-proclaimed "final show" is not something people actually do
I checked out this fake Twitter lineup a few pages back, its lack of undercard dub step is a glaring omission.
Also, what's all this about 3am? It is difficult for an old, crotchety bastard like myself to stay up that late, especially if there's no good reason for it...which, as far as I know, there's no good reason for it. 12et tomorrow, right???
The interwebs are a fantastically maddening place, at times.
I think I may be the only person on this board that has never seen an electronica act and probably never will.
What do you listen to/see mostly? Got to say you are missing out on a pretty incredible genre that is as broad as rap, rock, or just about any contemporary type of music possible.

Yes, and that's fine. Trent Reznor didn't book another major appearance. He only did smaller venues to give the hardcore US fans one last chance. Biggest venue was T5 and that's 5,000 capacity. That's 80,000 (Roo) to 5,000 (T5).
This is completely different. You don't sell out MSG in 30 seconds, say you're calling it quits, then headline a festival. That's 20,000 (MSG) to T5 (5000).
you are backpedaling and your numbers are wrong.
NIN would have never had the expectation that every person at roo would see them perform. audience wise, it was probably 20 or 30 k at most. and then he announced small shows after the fact - its probably worse to do this when you expect the "Last Show" and it's attainable vs the "Last Show" and its at a 500 person club on the other side of the country.
still, i agree with you. while LCD would be great (again) at roo, there is no reason to think they are going to book another show after promoting the last show - especially considering the immediate announcement of a week of small shows leading up to it. if he had done nothing, then a lot more options would still be on the table...

Everything under the rock umbrella, from James Taylor to Talking Heads to B.B King. I guess you could say I'm a huge fan of the guitar.
