What do you guys think the odds are of Cake playing the farm this year?? They are putting out a brand new album (their last album came out in 2004!!) in January and I think with the giant mix of genres Roo has been roping in lately I think it would be extremely likely!! Has Cake ever played on the farm before, and did anyone think to put them in their pool this year?

I'm a pretty big Cake fan, and I think they'd definitely fit in nicely. They could do well as a Sunday Which closer or a Saturday pre-headliner on Which or possibly What. Although, a LN set would be incredible. Definitely surprising that they've never played there before, but hopefully this is the year!
Said it before and will say it again: I'd love Cake on the Farm! Caught them several years ago with Gogol Bordello openin' the show followed by Tegan and Sarah. Gogol blew my damn mind! Tegan and Sarah were not my cup of tea really, but Cake put on a great show afterwards. I think they'd fit in perfectly.

It doesn't seem to me that Cake has done many festivals that I can recall in the past and I don't notice them touring as much as most bands I follow, so maybe that explains their previous absence.... I agree though they would be a perfect late-afternoon set IMO, give them 90 minutes.
