I think it's safe to assume this is going to sell out since the allotted $159 tickets disappeared in less than 2 hours. The cynical view would be to say those tickets were extremely limited to by design, either out of stinginess or strategy (the appearance of tickets going quickly might light a fire under the donkeys of some stragglers). They seemed genuinely surprised by how fast the tickets went, though, and made arrangements for everyone who bought before noon to get the cheaper price, even though the $159 tickets were gone by like 10:45.
It makes sense that tickets are going quicker this year. The lineup is just deeper, with more bands that people are going to travel to see. Last year's lineup skewed a little older - I can't imagine a lot of Zac Brown, John Legend or Allsion Krauss fans
I would imagine they allotted alot of tix for the condos too.
Did anyone that went last year do VIP (if they had it)? I was wondering if it was worth the perks. I did VIP Bonnaroo last year and I thought it was worth it, but most of the perks were camping related.
Makes sense except that most people had relatively low expectations for Hangout, whereas Roo X might be astronomically high.
And for a second year festival? Come on. That's pretty good.
Precisely... I already have a beach house booked with 15 other people... Suffice it to say we all took a huge gamble on this lineup paying off since we all got pre-fest ticket prices through the beach house deal.
Late night tickets were pretty cheap, I think. Like $5-$10. They did not announce the late night shows til pretty close to the festival. Probably when the schedule comes out, which will be at the end of April most likely.
They announce late nights randomly at different times. Also, there were a lot of shows just up the road by artists not on the bill like Bruce Hampton. Got my Keller tix for $5. Not sure what the rest went for.
Keller's late-night was $5. Alex B/Gift of Gab/Big Gigantic was $20. Matisyahu was free because his day-time show got rained out. Free is not the way to go for a late night in such a small place! I got REALLY lucky to get in.
All the late-night ticket proceeds went to charity (Mobile Baykeeper I think)
From what I can gather Jane's Addiction was listed in the original release, and then quickly retracted.
Oh well...still a very solid lineup. My question is what does the "Much, Much More" mean? Are these bands yet to be signed? Were there any solid adds last year after the lineup release? Are they simply holding out on us with the undercard? Is it nonmusic related? Yes....I'm OCD'ing over it.

how did you gather that? and much much more means they probably still have 30 additions to make. there probably won't be anything big. but they have to fill 5 stages for 3 days and right now they only have 40 something names on the lineup.
I gathered it through google. There are multiple sites which announced the initial lineup with Jane's Addiction. They corrected their listing by removing JA. Therefore, I assume JA was expected and unexpectedly fell through.
The roughly 30 additions makes sense. I was pondering the short list. Why release such an unfilled lineup? Cuz it's top heavy and on a damn beach.
