I will be there on Friday night to embrace my 90's self with STP, Cake and Everclear. Also excited to see Manchester Orchestra. I was really forced into doing Friday regardless, since Arcade Fire is playing Memphis on Thursday night.

yeah, friday will definitely be the best day/night of the weekend. i've tried going for one day and leaving, but i always seem to get talked into staying the whole weekend...
Going in for Arcade Fire and Friday... I'm staying at the horseshoe casino stage all day Friday, mainly for MGMT.... but cage the elephant, manchester orchestra and FLips are a bonus. Then leaving right after that to attend prom the next night back home in Bristol. ;D
A lot of good acts, but...what a strange looking lineup.
Are you very familiar with Beale Street Music festival? They put together lineups like this year in and year out. That cater to all tastes.
It looks like most of their previous lineups...but that doesn't mean it isn't strange to see Wilco, The Flaming Lips, and The Avett Brothers on the same lineup as Godsmack, Buckcherry, Ke$ha, and Everclear (I did not realize that 3 of those 4 still existed).
Friday: Bud Light Stage~ Free Sol --> Cake --> B.O.B. --> Jason Mraz
Horseshoe Casino Stage~ Manchester Orchestra --> Cage the Elephant --> MGMT --> Flaming Lips
MATCU Stage~ Egypt Central --> Everclear --> Slightly Stoopid --> Stone Temple Pilots
Fedex Blues Tent~ Will Tucker Band --> Big Bill Morganfield --> Tommy Castro --> Jimmie Vaughan with Lou Ann Barton
Saturday: Bud Light Stage~ Amy LaVere --> Paul Thorn --> Jerry Lee Lewis --> Mumford & Sons --> Lucinda Williams --> John Mellencamp
Horseshoe Casino Stage~ One Less Reason --> Sick Puppies --> Hinder --> 8Ball & MJG --> Cee Lo --> Ke$ha
MATCU Stage~ Lotus --> The Experimental Tropic Blues Band --> The New Pornographers w/ Neko Case --> Macy Gray --> Kirk Whalum --> Charlie Wilson
Fedex Blues Tent~ Travis Wammack --> Jimbo Mathus & the Tri-State Coalition --> Devon Allman's Honeytribe --> Reba Russell Band --> Magic Slim & the Teardrops --> Otis Clay
Sunday: Bud Light Stage~ Drowning Pool --> The Experimental Tropic Blues Band --> Saving Abel --> Buckcherry --> Godsmack
Horseshoe Casino Stage~ Amos Lee --> Lucero --> Gregg Allman --> The Avett Brothers --> Wilco
MATCU Stage~ J.J. Grey & Mofro --> Ziggy Marley --> Al Kapone --> Ludacris --> Sublime with Rome
Fedex Blues Tent~ The Lee Boys --> Hubert Sumlin --> John Hammond --> Preston Shannon --> Bettye Lavette
Friday is gonna be epic, I wont even have to walk around... Horseshoe all night long. Saturday is not all that great IMO, maybe I will go and throw shit at Kesha Sunday, im thinkin Lucero, Gregg Allman, Avett Brothers, and Godsmack
The Casino Stage all day Sunday looks pretty good. In light of the schedule, I don't think I'd be that interested in any other day, especially since STP and The FLips appear to be conflicting.
Really solid line-up. Very few Roo-repeats. Glad we got early-birds. Does anyone know, based on previous years, the chances of getting a few Adds before late-April? I'm surprised North Miss isn't on the list.
Ok, so JHOinTN and I are going Sunday. God help us. We need some advice from you local yokels on how to survive this thang.
Where do we park? How do we get out of Dodge fast after the show? Where do we eat? Rain gear is essential I take it? How do we get a good spot at the Casino stage? Are concealed side arms allowed for use on unruly teenagers? Do we need our passports to go from Nashville to Memphis? ;D

Oh there are a bunch of kids. A bunch of kids. And yes, it does rain every year. I wouldn't come unless you have rain boots and a poncho. Parking is a big problem. I would either park in the parking garage at your hotel and walk down Beale to the river or find a lot where they charge you cash to park. They are all over, so just drive around and keep your eyes open. There are expensive vendors on the site, but of course there are a bunch of places on Beale to get you some good gumbo or ribs or whatever you are feeling. I've never seen a show on the Casino stage, so sorry I can't help you there.

I dunno about parking, but I would reccommend somewhere on Front or Second
Getting out after the show will probably suck, but not toooo bad, you can jump on 3rd street and follow the signs to I40
For food, there are alot of good options downtown. Rendezvous will be your best bet for BBQ. Blue Fin has the best sushi. Gus' World Famous Fried Chicken has the best fried chicken you will ever eat (seriously). In my opinion, the best place to eat downtown is Texas de Brazil, but that is not somewhere to eat before going out to play in the mud, plus its about $50 per person. For good food with good prices, I would recommend the Kooky Canuck on Second St. It used to be called Big Foot Lodge, but they had to change the name for some reason. They were on Man vs Food (they had the 7 pound burger).
Rain Gear and Mud Boots are definitely a must, and I think stink bombs would work well for a crowd dispersant around the stages. The unruly teenagers will likely have concealed firearms themselves, so I would advise that you just let them say unruly
