Anywho, I just took the plunge, and bought my ticket. Anyone who is considering going, buy your ticket before friday, or be forced to buy 3 single day passes (@ ~$40 each)
I just bought hubby and I tickets and booked a cheap hotel in East Memphis right off the Interstate, about a 20 minute drive from the fest... too cheap to pay the big bucks for a downtown hotel. Looking forward to it! I've never been to Memphis.

Matt- Schedule has been out for weeks. Best bands for the buck that I've seen... Wilco, Lips, Avetts, MGMT, Lotus.
Luna- You'll love Memphis. Beale is like a little Bourbon Street. Same rules apply- meaning very few. Do yourself a favor and wander in and out of as many bars/restaurants as humanly possible. One of the best food towns in the world. Tons of great local blues bands crammed in every hole-in-the-wall, jammin till daybreak.
Friday's schedule isn't that bad, I would have liked to have seen STP scheduled for saturday instead of friday, but other than that, Friday is what I am most excited about... Cage the Elephant --> MGMT --> Flaming Lips, all on the same stage too.

Would it be "Slightly Stoopid" of me to pick B.o.B. over MGMT? (See what I did there?) No, I agree with you, and that's probably what I'll do, but again, it's just a choice of seeing someone I've already seen again, or trying something new.
Yeah, I understand your reasoning. And, my opinion is biased as fuck. I've seen them four times since this time last year and am going to Beale for MGMT solely. ;D
My conflicts are 1. MGMT/Slightly Stoopid/B.o.B. 2. Flaming Lips/STP 3. John Mellancamp/Ke$ha 4. The Avett Brothers/Ludacris 5. Sublime/Wilco
It's mainly a conflict of seeing a band I've seen 5-10 times again, or branching out to see someone new.
All 5 of those are super easy.
1. MGMT 2. Lips 4. Avetts 5. Wilco
And 3. Literally anything else in the entire world that doesn't involve seeing Mellencamp or Ke$ha.
haha Agreed. The Avett's are my favorite band, but I'll be seeing them for my 12th time tomorrow night, and I used to love a couple Ludacris albums. And it's pretty much like that with all of the others as well. Just trying to mix it up.
