A trip to space thwarted by a speckled lad's demise. A watershed moment otherwise.
at the end of rocky horror picture show they are all trying to go to space... the main character has glasses, and they are in the water... its meatloaf... next
In rainbows is a very "Spacey" record, I suppose... And Videotape is about how Thom Yorke, a person with freckles, handles death... A speckled kid's demise?
My first inclination is to not believe it's Bowie but Space oddity was during his Ziggy Stardust period. Speckled Lad= Glitter? Space Oddity actually isn't sounding too bad. Although " A trip to space thwarted" makes it seems they never made it to space. Major Tom went up in space and cut communication once he was there. HMMMM.

i hope u are right, but i doubt they would give us radiohead, or any other headliner, right out of the gate
could it be Sublime with rome? the dog has spots and everything would change with sublime with Rome in the mix
nah, speckled man's demise? how was lou dog brought to his demise? ... sublime with rome would be amazing though
actually the more i look at it, sublime with rome is plausible. seems too easy though. but people call dogs "lad" all the time, there's gotta be a reason she said "lad" and not "man" or anything. and rome coming in the mix definitely a watershed moment, they are working on an album too--- seems too perfect?

I just started thinking Radiohead, too. "Planet Telex?"
Just gonna throw Phish out there. Trey is speckled, was on the way to space (death if he didn't quit the dugs), had a demise (getting busted for drugs) that stopped him from using. This was a huge turning point as it got him clean and ultimately led to Phish reuniting (hence the watershed moment).
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
It sounds like it's two different things pointing at one. It's "A trip to space thwarted by a freckled lad's demise" This makes me think of Disney movies for some reason. But it could also be "A watershed moment otherwise"
