i seem to recall that sometimes the words are not what they seem at first or that they sort of sometimes refer to somethign that sounds like something. i know there was a clue that had a word that sounded like another word. the clues are not always perfect

This guy posted in another thrad, but what he said made some sense. Kennedy got started the US space program but was then assassinated in 1963. The Apollo Missions were part of this. Any ideas following that lead?
Initial initial thoughts from the clue would be Red Hot Chili Peppers (Death of a Martian) which was one of their more recently popular CDs. Too bad the Flaming Lips played Roo last year because the clue kind of suits Christmas on Mars as well. Radiohead seems like a reasonable guess too.
