While I'm pimping my hopefuls list, anybody else excited for this new Robbie Robertson album? Let's get him on the farm in 2011. Maybe get Morello, Reznor, and some of these other guests from the new album out for some guest spots.
I don't understand the difference between this and most of the rest of the threads in this section, but I do understand the need to assert internet authority.
Y'know, I would too, but I feel like Robertson would be more of a rarity at this point. Levon plays so many festivals a year, I know I can always go see him.
I'd like to see Robbie on the farm - though if his live shows aren't that good these days, maybe it's best to just forget it altogether. I would prefer a return from Levon though, I missed him in 2008 for B.B. King and Jack Johnson. I think a Midnight Ramble superjam with lots of guests would be absolutely incredible.

I love Levon too but Robbie has always come across as a very interesting guy and I would love to see him play some day and now that he's got a new album on the way hopefully I will get to. Bonnaroo would be an excellent venue for it as far as I'm concerned.
He wrote less than most think and stole a lot (songwriting material AND money) from Manuel, who was always too drunk or stoned to realize what he was doing. Robbie was a dick.

Regardless of who wrote the songs (most likely they were written as a band) his guitar style was essential for the Band, and is overlooked a good deal.

I love the music of The Band but after readings Levon's book I had a different perspective on the kinda guy Robbie is/was. Still wouldn't keep Me from going and watching Him.
