^ Florence and the Sky seemed to make the most sense to me. I'm not sure that we've guessed correctly yet, though.
I have more faith in clues that actually turn up the name of the band/name of a song as opposed to stretching definitions, if you know what I mean. Like in Clue #1, I liked the Arcade Fire guess because it actually turned up a dog named "Laika." And with the Florence guess in this one, research actually turned up the word Florence. That's just me, though.

at this point nothing is too far of a stretch, if there's even a minuscule ridiculous way to connect the clue to something it's completely plausible in the world of roo clues

Yeah but if you research enough you can find a name that will link to any band you want it too. Past clues haven't been that way.
I still think that Cut Copy and RHCP are our best guesses, since AC hinted no to Bright Eyes.
I still think Bright Eyes, it would be nice if we could somehow find out the actual answer. I know its been said before, but I enjoy the clues, having guidance really added to the process. Either way, it's fun.
New direction, which will just lead into a blind alley. If Cecilia comes from the Latin word for blind, then her dress code will be in Braille. If her dress is sheer, she's probably cold, so you can imagine where the dots are. Such an arrangement of dots gives the letter "C," in Braille. But, you would only know this if you fiddled about. Oh, Tommy was blind too.

Yeah, Who on What. We went through this last year.
im not sure if anyone has said this yet on here but i read it on the pt phish board. anyway when you google cecilia's dress sheer the first thing that pops up on google shopping is "cecilia boutique birds of a feather dress" bird of a feather is a phish song. very odd if you ask me. my vote is phish.

So no need to bash her for not being as helpful as DJJD. Sounds like we might start getting hints/confirmations as we get closer to the lineup drop date.
I think it's as good as anything else we have. I would add it to the list of "Educated Guesses", which in no particular order looks something like this for clue 2

By my count. The band Air is on the first page but i can't remember why. I know it had to do with Virgin Suicides, but it didn't seem to fit that well.
As I said.... 5 or 6 pages ago, the New Pornographers' song "Entering White Cecilia" is a Dan Bejar song; Bejar is touring as Destroyer in the early spring to support his new album Kaputt

I have read numerous bios about Saint Cecilia which say she is always depicted in golden robes. "Golden" is a song by My Morning Jacket. In the Clue, Cecilia's Dress Code: Sheer...notice Sheer is capitalized not to mention nouns usually follow colons. The only definition of sheer that is a noun form is " a very fine or diaphanous FABRIC or ARTICLE" just for your reference diaphanous means "light or delicate" my morning jacket could also be a synonym for a robe! what do you wear in the morning?!
