it's inevitable I guess. if the original poster didn't make this clue thread early....someone else surely would have. at least he said he'll keep updating the first post with some of the best guesses. that helps.
if you google radio bonnaroo you have to click on the second link because (for me) it only works as the pop up and if you click the first it's in embedded thing which is always blank (for me)

Bonnaroo's PR is terrible. Last year's announcement was the worst ever. Absolute "anti-hype" machine. < 5 months to go time and nothing but stupid rumors. They can't even leak clues right. They should get Mr. Brainwash to spearhead their release- at least he can hype it correctly.
This is brutal- just announce the fu#$%n lineup already. Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary fest will kill this anyway.

Yeah, really not much of a problem. I mean, I'd prefer it if we didn't do this, but it doesn't really affect much and like you said someone else would have done it anyway. And plus, now that we've got our sub-forum and multiple threads we're way more organized anyway, and hopefully the website is helping a bit...generally I think we're pretty damn good at this!
But I do wish I could figure out why radio roo hates me!

plasticpepper - the website is the most helpful thing about these clues. a month from now people will be so thankful for the work you do on it. everyone should appreciate what you've done to organize the clues and their best guesses and all the evidence. keep it up and you'll keep many people happy

I think Clue 1's biggest downfall, is that the creator of the thread didn't keep up with best possibilities. If that's done from now on, things will be much smoother.

Why would you join this board just to complain about something like this? First of all, I really dont think these clues come from super high up in the Bonnaroo community, I think the higher-ups probably give someone a list of artists to make clues for. Also, even if it drove you nuts last year, the way they announced the lineup was not an "anti-hype machine," it was the opposite. The Bonnaroo website and the bands that were playing both generated an immense amount of traffic that day.
It's not like this is any different than any other year, so what's your point? They announce the lineup late January/early February every year, with clues happening in the month of January. This is exactly how they have always done it.
Stop being an impatient brat and just wait like the rest of us. I'm sure as soon as someone is allowed to give any more info about the clues, they will. Even if not, lineup comes out in (approximately) 3 weeks.

Bonnaroo '09 was legendary, and if you weren't there this year how do you know if it was "BAD." Sure, the headliners were a little underwhelming, but there was so much fun stuff that happened this year and you are really not in a position to trash talk it if you weren't even there.
I don't understand how there is a "lack of excitement" in this year, yet you also claim they are "over-promising" it this year, and the fact that you said they "disappointed with the lineup" this year when it's not even out.
Finally, if you are THAT aggravated by the clues, you need to calm down, brother. The clues ARE meant to be fun, and they only reason they aren't is because people like you seem to think that you are somehow entitled to early lineup information? It's not like this time last year we had a shitload of extremely solid lineup information, or even clue confirmations.

I think there is no way, that PJ's fest is gonna come close to what Roo has to offer.
But as a couple early guesses who might be playing at that fest, as I will be in attendance. I would not be surprised to see any of these acts play there: Neil Young, MMJ, Soundgarden, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson (Outside chance).
I have no proof obviously, they are just gut feelings.

Nice! I don't say what you want to hear and I have to leave. I'm not a naysayer. Really I'm not. I told everyone for 2 years how awesome the fest was. I took 6 of my friends even took my dad who has a great time. Just sad cause it feels like it's loosing steam. Last year's main stream focus was hugely disappointing. I really hope they start announcing bands soon and really bring it for the 10 year anniversary. I really love Bonnaroo and hope they feed the beast (fans)

if you didn't go to bonnaroo last year how do you know it was bad?
personally, i think it gets better every time i go regardless of who the headliners or big names are. in the 4 years i've gone, last year the flaming lips, the national, avett brothers and edward sharpe put on some of the best shows i've ever seen on the farm. and those are just a few.

1. As someone mentioned earlier, we're not entitled to ANYTHING. It's awesome that they're giving us clues at all. If they give us any hints, that's even more awesome. But you really can't act like they're screwing up just because they decide to change the way they're doing that (or stop altogether).
