I went last year, pretty fun little festival in the middle of nowhere Texas. Bassnectar destroyed it so I can see why they bringing him back, hope to see Chemical Brothers this year (but doubt it.)
i really don't know a whole lot about this but from what little bit i've been told it sounds interesting. any info from last years?
i went on Saturday last year and it was AWESOME! i'm going again FOR SURE, and i'm hoping to cash in on the VIP tickets this time. if i'm remembering correctly, they started pretty cheap around $55 or $60.
i seriously freaked out a few times throughout the night bc i was trippin' face and kept thinking "holy crap i can't do this i'm in my own backyard!" and then i'd remember that everyone else was too so it was cool haha. it's pretty much the entire big festival late-night experience, art installations and all.
tickets are already on sale @ www.groovetickets.com VIP tickets this year are more expensive due to added perks such as front row pit access, air conditioned restrooms, and a few others.

where do you live, jonfrow? did you go last year? i only got to hit up saturday last year, but it was still a freaking blast! i might have to go myself this year...
ill def be there again this year...last year was just incredible!!! the only difference is that i will not be doing vip. i really did not see any advantage going the vip route (1-never found free drinks, or better bars for that matter, 2-the elevated stages are nice, but so far from the stage that i would rather be in the mass to enjoy the show, 3-reg restrooms never got full, but maybe a little dirty, 4-etc.). it was fun randomly running into hippie last year. oh yes, and i will def start looking for hotels on the out skirts of austin soon.

awesome. i miss living in Austin so very much. we should all meet up for sure! a friend of mine lives in Rockdale, so i'll probably just drive the 10min to his house after it's over.
We should find out whos going and have a meet up. I'm coming with three other people so we'll prob have to get a room in northern Austin. However, I'm def down for a meet up!

it's likely i'll be going by myself, so you might have a tag-along in your little group we just need to coordinate what time we plan on getting to the fest and meet at some landmark...like where those rocks were by the main stage last year.
I'm very seriously considering this myself. Being that it's so close to me, it's almost silly not to go.
