I found a band called "Here Comes the Mummies", from Nashville lol but I can't figure out the "Giant" part
I like this. Here come the Mummies are a band made up of session musicians. They wear costumes (makeup?) to disguise themselves because they aren't supposed to be playing shows (disguised among giants?). From Nashville (Ten I See?).

I thought about this when I read a post about this band in the Troo Lounge Main. Makes sense.

I think that it is Neil Young with Buffalo Springfield.
Neil Young as an artist uses his palette to describe his stories and in Rocking in the Free World he uses Red , White and Blue in a line.
a farm heathen , maybe Buffalo ( which could be considered a giant farm animal)
the only Ten I see would be the only appearance of Buffalo Springfield in Tennesse
As has been reiterated several times in this thread. The answer IS NOT NEIL YOUNG. We know this because we were told they aren't old enough to have played Woodstock among other things.
Everyone continuing to guess artists that we've been are flat out wrong is pointless and annoying.
Esben and the Witch, CD "Violet Cries" (violet = red + blue + white), heathen = witch, "Cries" leads to running makeup (GC said to run with the makeup idea) and the Danish Fairy Tale where Esben was the youngest and smallest son of a farmer, where his other brothers were big and strong - the band is from Brighton (ten?), England...They're also going to be at the 35 Conferette in Denton, TX (surprise) in March
Palette: Brian Viglion and Amanda Palmer wear dramatic makeup and decadent clothing to complement their punk-cabaret sound.
Heathen: The two describe their style as "Brechtian punk cabaret", a phrase invented by Palmer because she was "terrified" that the press would invent a name that "would involve the word gothic." The Dresden Dolls are part of an underground dark cabaret movement that started gaining momentum in the early 1990s.
Amanda Palmer did release an album, in fact it dropped today. Interestingly the australian flag, red white and blue is featured prominently on the cover. Let's see - she's young and as a Dresden doll used a lot of make up that would be on a palette. She also worked busking as a living statue so that would have required loads as well. She was with 8 ft records (giants) farm heathen and Ten I see no clue.
She does not have any tour dates I've been able to find. I totally suck at this but there we go....you may now shred me to pieces.
I'm telling ya...Esben and the Witch is a strong guess...wiki it, the band and the fairy tale...Im not looking for anyone else on this clue and you wont either after you read the wiki

amanda palmer is touring australia through march, though i could see her coming to bonnaroo. the dolls played the farm before if i remember correctly ('05? '06?). she also did a pretty cute/killer radiohead cover album.
EDIT: and the dresden dolls did a reunion tour last year, so maybe?
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"

i just found out about this band this past weekend. i was talking to a lady before the dynamites show and she was really talking up these guys. she's traveled hours just to see them play. they must doing something right.
Well it wasn't really a tour, it was just a handful of shows. But I think she only did that because she knew she was going to be touring solo for a while so wanted to appease DD fans.

I keep thinking Red, White, and Blue refers to 3 different band members in some way, but no way to connect. Maybe even as simple as their names start with R, W, and B...
I keep thinking this too.
What about Broken Social Scene? I don't know much about them, but the way they have a huge group of people who perform at various times might make "palette" describe them more than most bands.
Andrew Whiteman could definitely be "white" and since Brendan Canning, Kevin Drew, and Justin Peroff perform as Junior Blue any or all of them could be "blue." I don't know who "red" would be, though.
If the first half of the clue referred to BSS then we could be looking for a solo act by one of the members or just one of the many bands the members are in. But...are any of them from Tennessee? Are there even any non-Canadians who play with them?
What about Those Darlin's? There are three female members (though their names don't match up with R,W, and B) and they are from TN. They have that dude that performs with them, too. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with them...

Yeahh, that's kinda what I figured, I just didn't know for sure if anybody else may have performed with them at times or anything. Oh well, was worth a thought. I so liked the idea of them being a palette! ;D
