I thought about the red hair/blue eyes/fair skin thing too. Mostly I thought about it when I was hoping maybe the clue was for Jenny and Johnny and hoping I could make Jenny the first half and Johnathan the second half. But I'm not even sure if Jenny's eyes are blue, and I couldn't come up with anything to make Johnathan fit the second half, so I gave up.
I believe the term "only Ten I see" is referring to the only act this year that was there last year. Also I think it has 2 meanings in that it refers to a "Tennessee" band, or country music group. The heathen, which everybody mainly agrees, is a familiar act. This coincides with the first statement. I also believe that young is a reference to their career, not so much their age. The Red, White and Blue does go with a patriotic theme. Lastly, "disguised among giants" refers to the band being good, yet not the big name draw as other bands. My guess is that its the Zac Brown Band. They have played the past 2 years, last year playing before the "giant" Dave Matthews. Their song "Chicken Fried" had a verse added after 9-11 that is patriotic. Their career is also considered young due to the fact that they won the Grammy for best new artist last year.

Aight Tyler, you already started off erroneous which killed your answer immediately though it might not be the wrong answer. It's just the way how you projected your answer that is wrong. Check on page 1 for more clues and updates regarding clue #5. No offense brah, I appreciate the logic you put behind your thoughts. But there's a lot more going on with the clues than the words itself, though I've yet to figure out them myself. They suck imo, but that's just my opinion and nobody else's.

The Dresden Dolls
Giants (humans) play with "Dolls"
Palette: Brian Viglion and Amanda Palmer wear dramatic makeup and decadent clothing to complement their punk-cabaret sound.
Heathen: The two describe their style as "Brechtian punk cabaret", a phrase invented by Palmer because she was "terrified" that the press would invent a name that "would involve the word gothic." The Dresden Dolls are part of an underground dark cabaret movement that started gaining momentum in the early 1990s.
I know that he kind of ruled this out but Wanda Jackson is defiantly among giants. She is tiny!
and maybe farm heathen disguised means they are not a heathen at all. Wanda jackson grew up and live in OK and there are plenty of farms there and she also did some gospel recording. All that being said, she comes across disguised as a rockabilly queen/rock n roll hall of famer.

i think its My Morning Jacket.....The Red White and Blue, i believe may be a reference to their appearance on "American Dad"...the young pallete might refer to their playing with Neil Young during his Australian Tour in 09' or the reference of palette meaning- the variety of techniques or range of any art: a lush but uneven musical palette- could be describing their wide range of musical styles....the "farm heathen disguised among giants" might be referring to their large following amongst the festival circuit but commonly overlooked by HUGE names..."the only TEN i see" the only connection i can make here is their first album The Tennessee Fire or their 10 studio albums....plus they will be hitting the festival scene again the weekend before bonnaroo at Wakarusa and Mountain Jam and have an album supposedly ready to drop this spring

I know that Garbage has plans for an album and tour this year.
Shirley Manson is very pale (white) has red hair and blue eyes. Plus you could use the Only Ten I see joke on her, and she is surrounded by Music Biz Giants in the band, Butch Vig anyone?
I do think that RED WHITE AND BLUE refers to appearance and not to American themes, and also I think from Gary's posts we should be looking for a female artist, especially with the Only Ten I see at the end.
Garbage kinda fits, but definitely not the Young, or the Palette.
The Young Prisms (which would give off colors), Myspace page says "what up denton? anyone got a place to crash?" That's the only place on their page where I see "ten" and its the same town where the clue was found....Apparently they played Dallas last night...They also have a song "Sugar", which makes sense of GC's candy clue...Also, The Young Coyotes (farm heathen) have a new CD titled "splitting prisms", but then I cant figure out the "ten i see" part...discuss amongst yourselves
I think the "Ten I see" is referencing that it is a country music artist. I like the direction of a female artist. Any chance the "I" is a roman numeral? (haven't looked into it)
Heathen amongst giants would reference that it isn't a headliner. Heathen can also simply mean a group "such persons considered a group"
Red, white and blue combined with heathen could mean an extremely patriotic singer.
Toby Keith comes to mind. He does a lot of stuff for the military troops.
"Farm" could reference a real farm. Does Toby have a farm, live on a farm?
hea·then (hn) n. pl. hea·thens or heathen 1. Offensive a. One who adheres to the religion of a people or nation that does not acknowledge the God of Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. b. Such persons considered as a group; the unconverted. 2. Heathen An adherent of a Neopagan religion that seeks to revive the religious beliefs and practices of the ancient Germanic peoples. 3. Informal a. One who is regarded as irreligious, uncivilized, or unenlightened. b. Such persons considered as a group.
I think it's a solo performance from someone usually associated with a band, possibly a female, that has never played bonnaroo. "Red white and blue" or "farm heathen" refer to the band this person is in I think. I haven't been right about anything else, no reason I should be right about this either though.
And yet, you're close....
Something about this post means it's on the right track...
I was thinking Red, white and blue could refer to the people that "makeup" the band.
Then the only Ten I see, might mean that the female "farm heathen" is the only person out of the group that is from Tennessee.
I keep thinking Red, White, and Blue refers to 3 different band members in some way, but no way to connect. Maybe even as simple as their names start with R, W, and B...
