Herring spawning tends to coincide with the full moon. Red herring are cured, white herring are fresh and blue herring are Blue Heron. A farm heathen disguised among giants might be a troll. The only Ten I see might be tenuous; shaky, or having little substance.
red herring was going to be my next guess if none of those redheads are right.

Beach House- girl looks like a redhead..beach houses are by the shore...they were on the Twilight soundtracks, so some relation to moons there
Wavves- more likely guess...again, looks like some redheads in the band..some short guys and some tall maybe relates to the small/giant thing...on Fat Possum records (guess this could be an unclean/heathen farm animal)..obviously waves relate to the moon and are by the shore

just another idea... Roseanne Cash? She was born in Tennessee "Ten I See", she is younger than her more famous father. Could be considered the daughter of a farm heathen, whom he himself was a musical giant. idk these are very taxing riddles.

Fat Possum is also a small label amongst very large ones...or Wavves is a small band amongst some of the better known Fat Possum bands (black Keys, RL Burnside, Andrew bird)
Elson, was in the White Stripes (red/white) video for Blue Orchid. Her and Jack live in Tennessee. She is a model (the only ten i see) and because models are also very tall her singing talents could be disguised among giants.

I don't think Wavves is the answer to this clue being that it is most likely the answer to clue #4.

I don't have a guess, but I know it would help me if I saw all the clues in one place. So what do we know so far...
We're looking for a woman w/ red hair Something about make up Too young to have played Woodstock Has been associated w/ a band Ten I see referrs to Tennessee Farm doen't referr to Bonnaroo and now something about the full moon and water, could be the tide?
Sorry if this is redundant, I'm just trying to help Please add anything that I may have missed, or correct anything that's wrong. Also, it might help if we had a list of who's been ruled out and who's still fair game, b/c I know how ppl like to get pissed when someone mentions an act that been named several pgs ago!

sorry haven't been around for a while so haven't caught up on the last 8 or so pages so this might have been guessed, if it has then please forgive me.....
BUT given this new clue I think its Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

Who would be out during a full moon? Perhaps someone who's nocturnal eh?
And this nocturnal person is down by the water you say? Well in Grace's song "Nothing But the Water", she sings about being down by the river.
Also in that song there's the line: Tried my hand at the Bible Tried my hand at prayer But now nothing but the water Is gonna bring my soul to bare
Gave up on the bible and prayer so she could be considered a heathen.....
ALSO (ya this ones a stretch) She's a RED headed WHITE girl who sings the BLUES.

Hmmm...this makes sense, except that he referred to the answer as "his favorite redhead". Maybe it doesn't matter that he said "favorite" but if it DOES, then maybe someone a bit more well known?
Someone mentioned it last page with a frowny face, but Reba might be a good guess for this one. Luckily I know someone who is obsessed with her to help me investigate (waiting to hear back from her, though)
