Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this young palatte. A farm heathen disguised among giants, the only Ten I see.
Young band, with the flags red white and blue (british). They were disguised last year because so many other good bands were playing and people missed them. The only band from 2010 he sees...
Mumford & Sons.
Final answer.
Heathen is also a British word.
Middle English hethen, from Old English hǣthen; akin to Old High German heidan heathen, and probably to Old English hǣth heath
i agree. it fits perfectly! yay! ;D
plus they are a relatively young band, and "sons" also is a youth related word.
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"

He has an album called heathen but how does he fit in the rest of the clue?
Can we (everyone) please stop just throwing names out there? At least try and figure out if a band/artist fits in with more than one part of the clue and then post why.
Clue #5: Red, White, and Blue are all a part of this young palette. A farm heathen disguised among giants, the only Ten I see.
Some random thoughts.... I'm thinking it might be Eddie Vedder. I know, I know - hear me out. Red, white and blue describes both Pearl Jam's quintessentially American sound, as well as popular colors in grunge fashion. Eddie Vedder has a "Young" palette, in that he was heavily influenced by Neil Young, just like so many grunge musicians. Neil Young - who was one of the organizers of the original Farm Aid - has been influential on a lot of people, including Eddie Vedder, and also David Bowie... a superstar ("giant") who covered (or "disguised") Young's "I've Been Waiting For You" on the 2002 album "Heathens". The only Ten I see sounds like a clear reference to Pearl Jam, especially if the clue was capitalized.
Just some thoughts I've been tossing around - what do you all think?
No matter what band the clue is referring to, it's not going to be the only ten he sees because we're definitely going to have at LEAST 2 bands from last year and that interpretation of the clue doesn't hold up under said conditions.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

You make some valid points. But God damn I hate Eddie Vedder.

fleet bank was bought out by bank of america (red white and blue). foxes are "farm heathens" they had an EP called "sun GIANT". their first LP also includes the songs "WHITE winter hymnal" (which has a lyric "RED as strawberries in the summertime") and "BLUE ridge mountains." there are red foxes and white foxes, and a company in tennessee called Blue Fox limousine. theyve only been around for five years or so. (young)
i know this is kind of a stretch...(esp that limousine part)...but maybe it just needs a little work

I like Fleet Foxes, trying to work on a few others that might work. I'm shocked if it isn't a band (or artist) that played 'Roo last year. That would cut down the guesses a bit. If Gary is saying no to Jack White and Mumford and Sons, I think we need to focus more on the first half of the clue.
I don't post on here very often, but it seems too obvious that it is American Bang. The red white and blue is in their name, the farm heathen being the have played too before, and they are from Tennessee.

Court Yard Hounds are part of the Dixie Chicks (red white and blue). Note* they are way better without the ugly one. They played with Steve Martin on his album "The Crow: New Songs For the 5-String Banjo" who played last year. Or 10s cause they are attractive? I know it does not fit that well, just throwing it out there.

He also is a small man, so he could be a "disguised" among giants, both being small and the artist formerly known as Prince. I don't think Prince will be at 'Roo, but it is a nice play on the clue.
