It's looking like my Bonnaroo partner is bailing this year due to lack of funds which leaves me on my own. Seems it's hard to find any other middle-aged female friends who are interested in spending 4 days experiencing an uber-fun time seeing some great bands. Still looking at other options but I got two questions:
1. I will do VIP but how do I go about only getting only one ticket? Anyone do this in the past?
and
2. Any other middle-aged folks out there who wouldn't mind a hanger-on? I am not a big partyer but would love meet some new Bonnaroo people.
Finally, I would be interested in that Total Access bus if there is an older crowd out there in need of an extra person.

Hmmp - she gets accolades when she tells newbs there are already threads started - but I get fussed at when I did it all the time...
Welcome.. I am 40 !! and this will be our 5th Bonnaroo !!
There is a way to purchase a single VIP ticket. You first purchase a General Admission ticket and then do a VIP up grade. My Wife's friend did this last year with us and it worked very well. The total cost is a couple of dollars more.
This is from a post I made last year: "You can buy a single VIP ticket. On the Bonnaroo website go to: Fest 411, Travel packages, That will open up a website from Target Sport Adventure. Once on that website click on "Click here to purchase your airport shuttle and travel packages!" Got that far? OK, now click on "VIP camping packages"
Our friend is going with us again this year so maybe we can work something out.
Can't help you out with the total access, we have our own RV.

Good luck and ask tons of questions !!
When you say " a couple of dollars more" do you remember how much that was?
Under $100 ?? It really was not much more then splitting it with someone. I personally think it was worth it, no hassle with payments and meeting up with people.
As far as the the airport transportation goes, if you do not need it you can toss the voucher.
When you checkin to VIP you mention and show the paperwork to the people who check you in, they then direct you over to a trailer where you get your VIP wristband. We were nervous a little last year but it worked out splendidly.
Aaah, I read your post as it not costing much more than GA and not VIP. I'll be in Access camping again this year, assuming we can get the kid care arranged!

Depending on the lineup, I might go again this year. Done a few Roo's a few Coachella's all the Waka's (cept first) and many many more before them. Let's just say that I can draw early Social Security already cr****

Wondering if we should bump this thread again this year. My lady and myself are both going to the Roo for sure this year, and yep, a bit over 40 cr****
Hessalina- If you need some company, we have a facebook group of "Bonnaroo O'er Forty Roo'er's" (and you really don't need an ID for those of you close to being over 40)
